How It Works

1

Position the Sock Aid

Slide sock over the flexible cradle, then place on floor with handles upright for easy reach.

Guide Foot Through Opening

Insert foot into the sock-covered cradle while seated, then pull handles upward in one smooth motion.

3

Use Leg Lifter as Needed

Loop around foot or ankle to position legs for dressing, vehicle entry, or bed transfers with full control.

A Fantastic 3-in-1 Independence Kit – Essential for Post-Surgery or Limited Mobility!

Getting a sock aid, a leg lifter, and a car door assist handle in one bundle makes this an incredibly practical and cost-effective set. The Sock Aid If you have ever struggled to reach your feet due to back pain, pregnancy, or joint surgery, this is a lifesaver. How it works: You slide your sock over the flexible plastic shell, drop it to the floor while holding the two long handle straps, slip your foot in, and pull. Performance: The plastic is perfectly curved to hold the sock open, and it has enough flex to accommodate different foot widths without cracking. The foam handles are comfortable to grip, and it completely eliminates the need to bend at the waist. The Leg Lifter Strap This is one of those tools you don't realize you need until you can't move your leg! It features a rigid center strap with reinforced loops at both ends. You loop one end over your foot or cast, and use your upper body strength to manually lift your leg into bed, onto a footrest, or into a car. The strap feels highly durable, and the rigid core ensures it doesn't just flop around when you are trying to loop it over your shoe. The Car Door Handle (Car Cane) This little tool provides fantastic peace of mind. It inserts directly into the U-shaped striker plate (the metal latch on the door frame) of almost any vehicle door. It instantly creates a sturdy, non-slip grab bar that gives you the leverage needed to push yourself up and out of a low car seat. It has a great weight limit and feels incredibly secure once slotted into place. The Verdict Buying these three items separately at a medical supply store would easily cost double or triple the price of this kit. They are all well-made, highly functional, and do exactly what they are designed to do: make daily tasks safer and less painful. I highly recommend this bundle to anyone dealing with limited mobility! Pros: Complete Kit: Addresses three major mobility pain points (dressing, moving legs, and vehicle transfers). High Quality: The car handle is heavy-duty, and the sock aid plastic doesn't snap under pressure. Promotes Independence: Allows users to dress and move without needing to constantly ask for assistance. Great Value: An excellent price for a 3-in-1 bundle. Cons: Learning Curve: The sock aid takes one or two practice tries to figure out exactly how far to pull the sock onto the plastic mold, but it becomes second nature very quickly.

Helpful if bending your knee is a challenge

I got this for my husband to help when his knee pain was severe enough to make putting socks on and taking them off a problem. He found the sock aids helpful, more so for taking them off than putting them on. While it was easy to slip them off using the device, it was trickier to get the sock on the sock puller and use the rope handles to move it up on his leg. He found the leg lifter strap awkward to use and not particularly helpful for his issues. The news was better for the car door handle. He tested it and found that it was strong and worked well, but he did not need to use it. Overall, the sock aid kit is a well priced and useful set of items for those with mobility issues.

Handy for stiff mornings

I got this sock aid kit mostly out of curiosity, but it turned out to be way more useful than I expected. The set comes with a sock puller, leg lifter strap, and a car door handle assist, and each piece actually serves a purpose instead of just being filler. The sock aid is the star of the show. It holds the sock open well and the ropes are long enough to use without having to bend much. It took me a couple tries to get the hang of it, but once I did, it made putting on socks a lot easier—especially on stiff mornings. The leg lifter strap is simple but surprisingly helpful for repositioning your leg without straining. I can see this being great for anyone recovering from surgery or dealing with limited mobility. The car handle is sturdy and gives a nice bit of extra support getting in and out of a vehicle, though it does depend on your car’s latch style. Build quality feels solid for the price. It’s lightweight but not flimsy, and everything seems like it’ll hold up with regular use. For around $20, it’s a practical set that could really make a difference for seniors, pregnant individuals, or anyone with mobility issues. Overall, it’s one of those products that seems kind of niche until you try it—and then you realize how much easier it makes everyday tasks.

Somewhat useful; car handle particularly valuable; leg lift like fishing

At the current price of $22.99, this comes to $5.75 per tool. At this price, this is a steal just for the car assist alone. In the package is: - one sock puller - one sock/shoe remover / shoe horn combo tool (minor assembly required with supplied screw and supplied screwdriver) - one double sided foot lifter - one car assist tool (best item in entire box) Instructions are included for use of the sock puller only. To use the sock aid, I tried this with a pair of knee-high compression socks and also ankle socks. It worked well with ankle socks but not as good with knee-highs. It is a bit cumbersome to feed the sock fully onto the end of the cylinder (especially if it's a compression sock) but once that was done, I just put my foot into the device / sock hole while pulling up on the rope, which pulls up the sock automatically. For knee-high socks it only pulled them up halfway because the device slips out. Once on, every sock has to be adjusted to comfortably wear them. Also note that getting the knee-high sock onto the device does require a little bit of strength, especially if it is a compression sock. For standard knee-highs it is much easier. I love how sturdy this device is and the fact that it comes with instructions. I give this device 4.5 stars. The sock / shoe remover and shoe horn combo works decently but no instructions are included for that. This was the only item I had to assemble first. The side 'wings' hold the outside of the shoe in place, while the scooped shaped spoon in the center feeds the foot into the shoe. It can also be used in reverse to remove my shoes as long as they are sneakers or anything that comes below the ankles. This device is best for socks, however. To remove my socks, I just feed the looped end under the sock while the winged points straddle the outside and then I use the handle to push down. It can also be used to put on shoes the same way by slipping the foot into the shoe while the round end is inside the shoe like a shoehorn and the pointed ends are on the outside holding the shoe down. Unfortunately, the stability of this device is only acceptable and to be more useful I need the handle to be double the length so that I can use it standing up. This tool is also a bit tricky to get used to. I give this 3.5 stars. The leg lifter is disappointing because it is not firm, I have to fish a bit for my foot. This helps lift the foot up without reaching down but using it is like trying to thread a needle from a distance. If the strap was rigid and straight so that it held its position in the air, then this would have worked well. As it is, I give this 2 stars because there are more misses than hits in using it. The car assist tool is the best part of this ensemble. I've purchased a Car Cane previously and it costs almost the same as this entire ensemble. This means not only is the tool good but it is affordable too. I just insert the tool into the door jam on my car (see photos) and then use it as a handle to get out of my car. I love the silicone covered handle and the color. I rate this 5 stars. In summary, this is a decent sock aid set but its best tool is the car tool. For those who are interested, my favorite sock aid is this metal one. I realize it gets mixed reviews because it doesn't come with instructions, but I prefer that one over this; however, that one is really pricey. This is my favorite sock remover even though it is not perfect. The Shacke metal shoe horn is my favorite as it is metal, sturdy, and long enough to use standing up. In fact, I purchased one in each of the three sizes (15 inches, 21 inches, and 26 inches) offered and used a smaller one for when I'm sitting down. The two leg lifters I like better are

Nice selection of tools

This is a really nice selection of helpful items in this kit! The Stockade works great. Squeeze it and put the sock over it, then use the ropes to pull it up over the foot. You can then pull it the rest of the way up! And the car door handle Works great, kind of like having an armrest to push yourself up off of to get out of the car. The tool for taking socks off was not quite as handy for me, but I have bigger legs so it was harder for me to maneuver. Someone with thinner legs would probably have an easy time! The only disappointment was the leg lifter. The strap to put my foot into collapsing and I couldn't get my foot in. But the price of the set is well worth the two tools that I will use regularly, and one that I might use occasionally! They're well made out of sturdy plastic, with no rough edges or sharp corners so they're comfortable to use. These would be a nice gift for someone recovering from surgery like hip replacement . Recommended!

Kit for the mobility-challenged

Mobility-challenged. That would be me! There are a number of things I need assistance with so I thought this kit could be helpful. It comes with an aid to get socks on, another to remove them, a leg lifter, and a car door handle. Getting socks on and off is problematic when there isn't someone around to help. I wondered how these would work in practice and happy to report they have given me sock independence. At first, I questioned whether my athletic thin ankle socks would work with very large open tube-like contraption I needed to get them on. The plastic is firm but sufficiently flexible that I was able to close it enough to muscle my sock onto it. Although I couldn't get it on the plastic all the way, one needn't. I slid my foot into it, pulled the plastic up with the ropes, and voila! It came up over my heel and I was good. Putting on a sock by myself is possible now. Taking the sock off with the dressing aid was even easier. I positioned the prongs and pushed the sock right off. The car door handle is brilliant. I keep one in my primary car, but this one goes with me when someone is driving me in their car. It hooks onto the door latch when open, and acts as a firm rail to push up on. When someone is trying to help you out of the car, the leverage is awkward and difficult. This way, you can push yourself up akin to using an arm rest. Love it! The leg lifter is the only disappointment. The part where one's foot goes isn't firmly open enough to keep it from collapsing so it can be hard for me to get my foot into it. I find using a cane to get my leg into and out of bed easier. That said, I'll be using 3 of these a lot, and 3 out of 4 isn't bad.

A nice kit to assist in the day to day life of your ageing family member.

This sock aid kit is a practical all-in-one solution for seniors or anyone with limited mobility. The sock puller works as expected. It's flexible shell and long handles make it easier to slide socks on without bending, which is especially helpful after surgery or for those with back or hip issues. Similar tools are widely used to promote independence in daily dressing routines. The leg lifter strap is a nice addition, making it easier to move your legs onto a bed, couch, or into a car without strain. The car door handle assist adds extra support when sitting down or standing up, which can improve stability and confidence. Pros: Multi-functional kit (more value than single tools) Reduces bending, twisting, and strain Helpful for post-surgery recovery and seniors Lightweight and portable Cons: Build quality may feel basic depending on the version Takes a little practice to use smoothly at first Not ideal for very tight compression socks Verdict: A solid, budget-friendly mobility aid kit that covers several everyday challenges. It’s especially useful for maintaining independence, though durability and ease of use can vary slightly by model.

Excellent mobility aids, especially the sock helper and puller

I can't say enough good things about this sock aid kit! It is the type of product that you don't know how much it helps until you have it. I am in my 40s and don't need every mobility aid that this set offers, but I have really tight hamstrings and find the sock helper and sock puller to be fantastic and quite effective. I wear size 11, but these two aids fit my feet okay and are easy to use. They are plastic and will not last as long as similar aids, but I think this makes sense for the price. The sock helper is especially cool, since it allows you to wrap your sock around a curved partial tube from your lap, and then you can slide the sock onto your feet. I thought the plastic material would be too resistant, but it slides along my foot with no issues. For me it works best to pull the sock almost to the edge of the sock helper so that it can come off okay. Otherwise, it may stay stuck there if you put the sock fully around the helper. The sock puller is also really useful. I was impressed with how it gripped my sock from the side and pulled my sock off. This aid comes in two parts and requires a screw to hold the parts together, so I would make sure you keep the packaging at first so that this screw doesn't get lost. I also find the leg lifter strap and car door handle useful, but they are not as helpful for me as the other two items. The car door handle slips a bit when I use it and the leg lifter strap cinches when I try to use it, but it is possible that I am doing something wrong. Even considering just the sock helper and puller, this kit is very much worth it in my opinion. I am really impressed with how much easier it makes the process of putting socks on and removing them when it is a struggle.

Some Useful Tools That Are Cheaply Made

My family went out of town recently, and I needed some good help aids for a family member that wanted to have a little more independence when dressing. The sock aid was the main reason I was interested in this set and thought the other tools would come in handy during certain situations. The sock aid is not the best quality, and it would take a few tries to get the socks on. Compared to the branded sock aid, this once felt very cheap and a little harder to work with. But he did manage to get the socks on without help, even though it was a little frustrating. It really stretches the socks out, so keep that in mind if you don't want your socks getting too stretched out. The car handle grip is incredibly useful. My brother used it while getting out of two vehicles of different heights. It really helped with him getting out of the car without someone assisting him. The grip took a lot of weight and pressure and did not become warped. It was probably our favorite tool of the kit. Very effective and easiest to use. The leg lifter and sock remover are probably our least favorite tools. He has his own method for removing socks. When he tried using the sock remover, he felt like it was a hassle and just went back to his old method. The leg lifter didn't really help much in his situation. Getting his foot into the lift took time, and by the time he did have his foot in it, he was tired out. While you get a lot of tools for the money, the reusability of them is questionable. I feel like you can get better quality tools for the money that are designed with a little more consideration for the user. They look cheap and feel cheap. And we had some difficulties with fitting the feet into the items. I would try and get something better. It's a decent enough introductory set, but I don't see it as a long-use toolkit.

I needed these for a hip replacement and let me tell you I am so happy I got them. They made my recovery easier. They were made with strong material so not cheap won’t break. The price was great too. Now that I am better. My 89 year old father is using them and he absolutely loves them.
