Frequently Asked Questions

How does zero-drop construction work?

The heel and forefoot sit at the same height, creating a level platform that promotes natural posture and allows your body to align as intended. This differs from traditional shoes with elevated heels that alter your biomechanics.

What activities are these shoes suitable for?

These versatile minimalist shoes excel in weightlifting, cross-training, hiking, water activities, and daily wear. The flexible sole and wide toe box adapt to multiple terrains and movement patterns.

How does sizing work for unisex shoes?

Available in combined women's and men's sizing options including 5.5 Women/4.5 Men, 6.5 Women/5.5 Men, and 7 Women/6 Men, continuing through full size ranges. Order your typical athletic shoe size for best fit.

Why is the toe box wider than traditional shoes?

The anatomical toe box allows your toes to spread naturally, which enhances stability, improves balance, and lets intrinsic foot muscles work as designed. This natural splay is how your feet function when unrestricted.

Can I wear these in water?

Yes, the construction is suitable for water activities and dries quickly. The versatile design transitions seamlessly between gym, trail, water, and casual environments.

Bummed

I absolutely loved these shoes in the beginning and I still do love these shoes. But the part that I love about these shoes are completely falling apart. The yellow insole that comes out every time my shoe is taken off is basically deteriorating I don't know if that's the right word but it is detaching from itself and it is so uncomfortable compared to when I first got the shoes. I knew it was a problem every time that the insole would come out when I took off my shoes but I just figured that was part of the making of the shoes and that's just how they worked. I'm not the brightest in the world so I didn't return them because they were so damn comfortable. But now I'm really regretting it because they are becoming very uncomfortable and they're basically going to become unwearable by the end of the season so I'm really bummed that I wasted the little money that I have 😔.... They have incredible traction so maybe there's other insoles you can get for them that would still keep them just as comfortable I have no idea but I feel like the insoles are what made them so incredibly comfortable cuz when I take the insole out it, it is like day and night different shoes so I don't know.

My go-to comfort shoe

I added another pad in the sole and these are my prefered walking shoes. I normally wear women's 8.5, returned size 8 and got 9. The wide toe box has prevented long-distance rubbing. Can't beat this shoe at this price. I'm ordering a darker pair next time as I wear them offroad and the pink will never again be as pink as when they first arrived. They are a year old, have worn well, and are a blessing in hot weather--mud, grass or pavement.

Soooooo soft!!

Super comfy!! The wide toe box is awesome as my feet are EEEE wide. If you have narrow feet these probably aren’t for you. They have good arch support and just the right amount of heel padding for trail running. Great for your back, hips, and knees.

So comfortable.

Feels like freedom at last to have room for toes and not spend every minute wearing shoes which squeeze the toes. Amazing relief.

Comfy

Comfy, great color to go with everything, wide toe box was great for the feet, used them to walk on all terrain. I wished they would have lasted longer, got a hole in them.

Excellent fit for my wide feet.

Perfect fit for my wide feet. I did a lot of research on these types of shoes and I love them. The color scheme is great too.

Barefoot shoes

The toe box was comfortable. I have a wide foot and have always had a problem finding comfortable shoes. I like the shoe and style.

My wife loves these shoes, she wears them nearly every day and says they are some of the most comfortable shoes she's ever worn

Good

Light and durable but not waterproof using th 6 months now and the shoe is still good but the inserts are worn out after a few trips to the river. Great in the water if your ok with being wet

Slightly small

Really cute and comfortable but size up, my toe is at the top of the shoe so don't know how comfortable they will be for long wear sessions, also don't know how that will affect the wear of the shoe itself. I got size 41, which is what I wear, but these seem a little short. I also have a very wide foot. Other than that they are very comfortable, will be great to throw on instead of Crocs for a quick run to the mailbox!

You can feel where you walk!

I have feet on the narrow side and I love these. They are like water shoes so I put a better insert in them but I can feel the ground as there is not alot of padding and I feel more in control of my walk! Too much padding and I dont feel safe as you can't tell what you are stepping on. There are times padding comes in handy though!

Cool shoe. Just not the right fit

I ordered the Ibarefoot shoes for women for my sister. She thought they were “cool” but they didn’t fit her properly so she ended up not wearing them.

Perfect for working out

Bought for a pair of slip-on workout shoes. So far so good, even on the treadmill. Roomy without being too big, nice enough bottom for walking without being bulky and heavy. I definitely wouldn't wear them out anywhere except a trail hike or in the water..wouldn't provide alot of foot padding and definitely not a flattering look. But they really are great for what I needed.

Snug.

So far so good. Comfortable but 11.5 is my toes are all the way to the tip. 12 is my standard grab, but with only half option availability went less. Not uncomfortable just snug... . 12.5 may have been loose which isn't good if on hikes or river playing.

Comfy!

Liking these a lot so far. I got the light beige to be as ‘barefoot’ as possible. I like how they fit ( ordered my usual size)- they are extremely comfortable. I need some support but didn’t want to continue with constantly wearing my Sketchers Easy fit with the big foam base and heel and the big drop to the toe. These have enough support for me to wear them out and about walking✅Idk if I’d wear them on rocky surfaces yet… I haven’t tried. But the sole on the bottom is pretty thick and protective. I like their appearance and so does my honey, so that’s all that matters. I never wear water shoes bc they are too re

Great fit, feel more stable when walking!

Very comfortable shoes that fit like a glove. The moment I first put them on. My feet had room to stretch and my toes were comfortable and not too tight in these shoes. It made walking so much easier and more stable feeling. There's absolutely no lift in these shoes and minimal.Arch support, however, I felt as though it was still more support than going barefoot. I think it's a great option as a house shoe.Because your foot is protected. And it is no slips, so water spills in the kitchen and or on the tile in a bathroom are not as dangerous because the grips on these shoes are very good. However, if you just step on a large area of water on a very slippery floor I think these shoes might still cause you to slip and fall.So you need to be careful. However, on a typical floor and with a minimal amount of water or puddling present, these shoes have a great nonslip, flexible rubber surface on the bottom of these shoes. There easy to adjust as well with the nylon laces and apparatus for attaching the laces on top of shoe. It makes getting shoes on and off very quick and I adjusted them so that I could slip the shoes on.Easily and quickly without readjusting or needing to tighten it each time. And still, they hugged my foot and kept it comfortable. And I felt my foot was more secure and my posture a little better when wearing these shoes. I've only used these shoes for indoors so far. One con would be that because the shoes are so lightweight and not very thick on the bottom, which allows your foot to be flexible, however, the downside would be if you stepped on something really sharp It could potentially go through your shoe.

Cute but sizing is off

The size i got sent was way too big. I dont like the little clip thing either on the outside. Aside from being extremely large they feel soft on the bottom. Beautiful color. Nicely made. Just huge. I wear 35 normally. These are 36 but look and feel like 39. Ive worn 36... The size i got sent was way too big. I dont like the little clip thing either on the outside. Shoes Ok, the insoles can lead to foot damage, swelling adn pain

The concept of wearing shoes that simulate being barefooted is a good practice and yes it takes a little time for your body to re-calibrate. The concept of wearing shoes that simulate being barefooted is a good practice and yes it takes a little time for your body to re-calibrate. However these shoes may have a good framework, but they fail to provide a good decent insole. Its going to feel great at first, but given a couple of days, the insole will flatten down by your joints. And if you are not award of what's taking place, you may even start thinking that you're having major feet problems, So if you want to take advantage of this cheap price, just know that you're getting exactly what you pay for, and you will need to purchase a good set of flat wide-toe form insoles and add it right on top of whats in the shoe.

Worth it

The front of my ankles are sensitive in that way. So I grabbed these, and they're much smaller looking. Size wise, they are the same width though not as tall and appear to be half the size of my hobibear ones. But they're more comfortable. Like I said, these are not stiff like the others. And the mesh is more breathable. On top of that, these are actually non slip. So nonslip, that before id adjusted them, I leaned sideways and stepped out of the shoe, instead of the shoe sliding on the ground. They don't feel or look cheap, but I have concerns for their longevity, especially the mesh and sole connection in the toe area. My feet feel great and I'm satisfied with their look. They do not offer lift or support in any way. I walked through gravel and the rough metal edges of my semi truck catwalk and you feel it but it doesn't hurt. If you're not used to barefoot shoes, wear in small increments. In addition, one reviewer noted that there was nowhere to put the extra lace (just long elastic). But the end piece (not the tightening slider), opens. You can figure out where your ideal fit is, set it, and trim the laces (about 1.5" away from the slider), open the end piece, and put it on the freshly trimmed bit. Then I tuck the end clamp under a crossection of the lace over the tongue. Looks like it was meant to be there, and also no excessive laces hanging about.

10 months of wear - good for price

I ordered these shoes 6/3/25 in size women’s 10. The image is after about 10 months of near daily wear (about 5 days a week at a job that is standing/walking for more than half my day and for 1-2 strength training days a week). They fit true to size, have a wide toe box, were very lightweight and had a very flexible sole. I found them to be comfortable, but was used to wearing a minimal shoe prior to buying these. Several people told me they liked my shoes, but I did have a handful of people ask me if I was wearing water shoes to work, I think because of the laces. For the price, I felt these held up well for what I did in them. The inserts have obviously died, but the sole is also beginning to peel from the shoe. The tread held up well, but I will say that since the sole was so thin/flexible I had to be cautious walking over uneven or sharp things. Overall, I was happy with these.

Comfortable shoes that fit!

I’m having some health issues now where my feet have swelled and these shoes are able to stretch along with me. They are great walking shoes, the best ever. I love the light grey color for a change, since I stay in black most of the time. For me to get a pair of shoes that fit at all is amazing, and then to come across a pair that are comfortable, flexible, and not too expensive is miraculous!

Perfect. You just can't ask for more from a shoe.

I cannot believe how amazing these inexpensive shoes have turned out to be. I wanted to try zero-drop barefoot shoes to see if they would help with my knee and foot pain, like I'd read in orthopedic articles. I bought these to try them out in my gardening. Oh. My. God.... I cannot believe how amazing these inexpensive shoes have turned out to be. I wanted to try zero-drop barefoot shoes to see if they would help with my knee and foot pain, like I'd read in orthopedic articles. I bought these to try them out in my gardening. Oh. My. God. My knee stopped hurting, my feet felt the best they've felt in a decade. I garden ridiculously long hours - an average of 8 hours daily in peak season. My yard and garden are on a hill and have tons of tree roots and stones. I tried shoes with thick, squishy "comfort" soles, but my feet and knee were unbearable by the end of the day. And because the comfort shoes were worn so much and so roughly, the mesh uppers were filthy and torn and the squishy soles had started breaking down after the first month. BUT,once I switched to these, everything changed. Seriously! These barefoot shoes have a wide toe box so my toes can spread out like they're supposed to when you walk, and they're extremely flexible, so I could feel the ground and bend my foot naturally, which accommodated all my garden's uneven terrain. The soles of these shoes have deep treads, which keep anything from poking through and hurting your foot's soles, and they have a bit of the tread upturned in the front to serve as a bumper to protect your toes. But they also let you feel the ground, which somehow keeps your feet "right." Those deep treads also kept me sure-footed on those treacherous hills. These shoes proved so comfortable, I ended up wearing them everywhere all summer, and I mean everywhere. Like doing tons of outdoor activities (parks, playgrounds, easy hikes) and playing so, so many sports with my young grandkids, who I watched 6 hours every weekday during their summer break. I wore them around the house and in stores and for walks around my neighborhood. Just everywhere. Here's the crazy thing: the soles of these shoes are still like new - after all the extreme use. They simply didn't wear. And they're not pulling away from the sides, either. The uppers of these are kind of like stretchy neoprene, but the uppers aren't waterproof, although the soles are. I wore thin no-show cotton socks with them, which kept them extremely breathable in the heat and kept my feet from sweating so bad. Every bit of dirt and mud that got on them wiped right off. They have those stretchy string-like laces, so once I got them adjusted where I liked, I could just pull them on. I really am stunned by the quality of these inexpensive shoes and all the use I got out of them. And I don't have to replace them for next summer's gardening and grandkid activity. They look and feel brand new! To whoever made these: thank you for the best possible product. For anyone reading this review: remember what going barefoot felt like, then subtract the hot-street burns, bee stings, and stone bruises on your soles, and give these a try. Your feet, knees, and maybe hips and back just may thank you.
