I saw this and did not think for one minute it would be able to give me decent sound whilst I was out and about doing my exercises and oh boy was I wrong, It is amazing, so comfy to wear , totally bangs out your tunes without you missing anything around you, like I can exercise and talk to my friend and still have the music playing out and it does not bother anyone other than give me a great time, I believe this is the latest version of this model and I am glad that I bought it, so far I have tested it for every genre of music in all kinds of outside conditions, from running, walking, cycling, it gives you that sound, the only area I think it does fail is listening to podcasts, they do not come across well outside wearing these but to be honest I don't tend to listen to podcasts when I am working out so for me it does not bother me. I bought it in orange and so far the battery power that is stated is correct it does last that length of time and it is so easy to use and put on, I highly recommend and will definitely be buying more from this BRAND as and when I need it , one last thing the connectivity has been great zero issues at all, the fit is nice and I got mine in standard, it is real value for money ,the desigin is really cool too and looks cool when out wearing it,.

Only disappointment is that there is lots of sound bleed - if I wore these in the gym I imagine others would hear what I was listening to and definitely couldnt wear them on a train. I thought the USP of these was bone conduction... not sure how much of this goes on - it seems to me that the sound comes from a speaker pointed in my ear!

I bought these for running, cycling and dog walking. In six months ownership, I've used them extensively. They are comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Sometimes when worn with sunglasses, the arms of the glasses weighting down on the ear hoops can cause a slight bit of discomfort. They are easy to use, and I've not generally had any problems pairing them up with any of the phones or computers I have used them with. The sound quality is reasonably good. Not audiophile quality, but quite passable for casual listening. They can sound a bit muddy if I've been listening to music on my fairly resolving hi-fi system. I find that sometimes higher frequency sounds can be a bit distracting - especially percussion, especially in tracks like Radiohead's Idioteque. The headphones perform well for walking and running. They work for casual cycling too, but once reaching 18-20 mph the wind noise gets too intrusive. The same is also true for cycling amongst traffic. They do work well for indoor cycling though. I have experienced a couple of issues with these headphones. On a few occasions, I've turned them on only to have white noise emitted from the transducer(s) on the left side. Disconnecting the source did not resolve the problem. Turning the headphones off and back on did though. On another occasion, they completely locked up. I went out for a walk - on leaving they were responsive, but I found about mid way through the walk I could not skip tracks or adjust the volume from the buttons on the headphones. When I arrived back home, I could not turn them off. I put the headphones on charge and the red charging LED was displayed. When the headphones finished charging, they were off and I could not turn them on. I tried them the next day - and thankfully they did turn on. With 60% battery remaining. The issue has not (yet) re-occured. Finally, in terms of battery life, after six months use amounting to at least two hours most days, the battery life has considerably shortened. It looks to be down to around 6 hours. Update: Within 2 days of writing this review, the headphones have completely locked up again

I bought these to replace a cheap pair of blue-tooth in ear clip on ear buds that gave up after a few months. I ride a recumbent trike and I like to listen to music when I'm riding solo and also to be able to answer phone calls without having to stop. Listening to music... Listening to music is a different experience compared to listening through in ear headphones but the sound quality is excellent with good bass an mid-range thanks to the combination of bone conduction and air conduction speakers. I haven't tried listening to music yet while out riding so I can't give a judgement as to what the music sounds like while in heavy traffic. However, I certainly can give my opinion regarding phone call quality, I was riding in heavy traffic a couple of days ago when my brother rang me and the quality of the call was stunning, I could hear him so clearly it was as if he was sat next to me and this was with the volume set at about 80%. The noise cancellation on the microphones must work very well as he commented that he didn't notice the traffic noise and he could also hear me breathing as well as my voice being very clear. They are very comfortable to wear and after a few minutes you don't really notice that they are there. To check how secure they were I shook my head quite vigorously and I couldn't budge them. Overall I'm thoroughly impressed

Whilst these, at least my pair seemed to focus... Whilst these, at least my pair seemed to focus on air conduction with minimal, next to no bone conduction, meaning when on A train, airoplane, busy highstreet, if your hard of hearing, the bone conduction is so tinney that these are going to be useless. The shape off these bend out from behind the ear, so pushing into my lower ear and then pinching/twisting into the top of my ear where they hook round, causing alot of pain after an hour or so. Mutipoint on between PC and s8 was a bit shakey, but could disconnect from phone to listen on PC and vica versa, I thought it was seemless multipoint, was good when if worked. The volume through the speaker mixed with the bone conduction for inside use, is Unbalanced does not sound very good at all, compared to the original openruns, and I prefere the openruns to my £300 Bose or momentums. I returned these as they were not working as intended due to the bone conduction not being optimsed to compensate for loud enviroments I.E had earplugs in and still could not hear them on A train or plane and multipoint issues. Luckily I took my openruns just incase. So these are promoted As bone conduction, but really they are air conduction, Using the name bone conduction to sell air conduction tech. Good way to push people away. I see what they are trying to do with air conduction, but air conduction is not they're target consumer, Or maybe it is, trying to hit both ends off the market. I think they should develop into, And consentrate on bone conduction and target towards the hearing impaired, that includes impaiment of any kind, sport, smimming. Also develop into hearing combinations or just hearing aids in general, As someone who just needs to adjust the volume up, when someone is talking to me, they can utlise the mic as a reciever not just for phone calls but for adjusting the conversation so people can be part of the party and not feel excluded from conversations. I really feel bone conduction can revolutionise the hearing aid market As many others complain that hearing aids dont work, never did. If shocks wake up and realise their Is A billion doller market out there for hearing impairment. I hounestly think they would recieve awards, if they filled the gap in the hearing aid market. Just let Air conduction go already.

Hi, You can see I have proof of purchase, but what you must know is I also have proof of purchase for Three of the original’s all three of my originals, within a year; in fact one was 6 months but as they would not replace any of them (at £100 I was / am gutted) it was forced to use first the tip of a pen at an angle, then a then screw driver at an angle to switch them on until complete collapse and as I use them pretty much all day everyday because they are fantastic for things like TEAMS calls and you can wear them all the time and switch between having a perfect conversation without removing them, to then switch seamlessly to music/calls/TEAMS without having to remove them. So to see this new version where they have fixed a HUGE expensive! Issue for their customers (that apparently don’t deserve their money back) that being switching on and off over the time or from the start degrading and the silly magnet charger to a simple USBC like Apple and Co now make these perfect. But I will comeback and tell you if not.

Excellent outdoors headphones. Decent volume & tone but still allows you to hear surround sounds such as traffic & speech. Battery lasts good time for maybe an hour a day for a week. Quick USB recharge too.

They arrrived and I started using them straight away - I charged them up and then used them for three hours on a cycle + a one hour run. So, four hours of use. After switching them off the second time and then going to use them again the battery indicated indicated it was at medium. After I used them once more (for one hour) the battery indicated low. I thought this might be a one off so I went through this same cycle TWICE more. Same each time. The battery actually only lasts for 5 and a bit hours. I went back to the Amazon site and read all the reviews. Turns out other people are having the same experience and there were many comments about people suspecting they are, in fact, receiving second hand head sets that are returns and have been sent out again. I returned my Shokz and got a refund. I would really like a pair becuase they do work well but I want them to do what Shokz say they do - have a play time of 12 hours. Can someone at Shokz come back to me on this please. I want to buy but for £169 they should match the spec on Amazon. Many Thanks

I find the headphones great when I am out walking. I tend to listen to talking books and can always hear them clearly.For reasons of safety it is an advantage to be able to hear extraneous sounds when wearing them. This item was not for us, didn't fit well on partners head, could definitely hear it whilst near him, we sent it back. Customer service was quick, easy and helpful

I bought these to replace an older pair that I had that stopped working after getting caught in the rain. This pair is looser in fit (not the best for me with a smaller head). The audio is great, I like the button over the left ear for pausing, rewind or skipping a song. It... It works like it’s meant to, I can hear the traffic and people speaking to me all while listening to my music while cycling. I love not having anything IN my ears and have converted my husband to these headphones phones. My previous version broke while in the UK and I replaced them while in UK and had to pay more than I would have in the US. They are very easy to use and set up with any blue tooth device. I only have mine paired with one device, but multiple devices are possible per the instructions. Took off one star for the looseness (new version) and price.

I also love how easy this one is to set up and the battery life, plus it's great this version updates the firmware vie Bluetooth. The additional Shokz app is very helpful. I wish I'd bought this version earlier! It does music very nicely, but I got this version mainly to hear clear enhanced speech in a noisy street - while I can still hear what is going on around in my environment, it's doing the job for me. Very happy with this purchase. Update 1st March 2026 - from Lisbon, Portugal. Happy to confirm that OpenRun Pro 2 performed with flying colours during the Ingress Anomaly competition in Lisbon. Using Zello, I could hear the Ingress game operator clearly in the streets of Lisbon for four hours with no dropouts or fuzzy audio which I experienced with the older shokz headset. In addition hours of battery left. I am really pleased with this new headset!! Nice job Shokz!!

The sound is much better in this version but I prefer the previous design as it is more comfortable to wear for a prolong period of time. This one hurts my ears (where it hooks onto it at the top) after a while.

I struggle with in ear pods as they simply fall out. Took a punt on these, very happy. Easy setup. Clearly well made. Great sound. Fit really well. Class piece of kit.
