I’ve been struggling with knee pain for a few years now, especially after playing pickleball. I’ve used soft braces in the past, but always paid the price after being active. Recently broke down and got this brace with metal hinges, and let me tell ya this brace has been a game changer for me. Since getting this brace I’m able to play two or three times a week, without pain. Before I would play and have to allow my knee three weeks to feel good before I could play again. Good quality, sturdy, holds everything in place but with great movement, and does not slide down my leg.

I bought this to address a torn meniscus until surgical intervention. It is effective at limiting the ability to bend the affected leg at the knee and it puts needed pressure to hold everything in place when it is wrapped around my knee. There is a learning curve to find the wrapping technique and wrapping tightness that works for each user. You can’t wear it too much. Over or under long pants? It’s your call depending upon the looseness of your pants leg. With shorts, it won’t matter. You might want to buy TWO. One to wear and one that is drying out after gentle machine washing inside a zippered washing bag. Be sure to remove the hardware BEFORE washing in cold water (my advice). And be sure to remove the metal joints on each side before washing. Dry on lowest temp or in the natural air. You’re going to sweat under it! It does NOT have a cutout over the kneecap, but it does not matter. I have even slept overnight in mine and felt better in the morning. It DOES minimize MY pain unless I do something stupid. My PT person likes it and my orthopedic surgeon said specifically to get this one as there is no need to spend more. I believe both of them.

I hurt my knee doing a very hard leg day (for many years). I stressed my knee with overuse that resulted in a torn meniscus, torn MCL and microfracture of the tibia. Needless to say, the last leg workout did me in. By the time I got home from the gym my knee was swollen and unable to bend. The following morning I was in massive pain and required crutches to get out of bed. While laying in bed I found this knee brace ( and 5 others) on Amazon. I purchased all 5 and I can say with 100% this is the only brace that allowed me to have the support for a swollen, injured and unstable knee. I wore this brace to all my appointments since my injury, both my orthopedist and physical therapist said it has all the points of stability for someone with major knee issues. I was wearing the knee stabilizer from the hospital but that kept sliding down my leg and it felt clumsy and heavy. This brace is prefect for walking with confidence and support. I highly recommend this brace since I purchased 5 others to get the right fit, support and quality (and I even purchased a very high priced brand and that was too bulky and unable to bend, even slightly). The quality is awesome everything adjusts to my frame and swelling levels ( some days more swelling then others).

Product is running small, don’t follow size chart. I got L size and was on the upper end of the measurements (44cm) and my knee was completely exposed. Returned it and ordered XL size

I have use so many knee braces because my condition is severe and this brace is by far the best one a l tried it covers all the points that hurts in my kneee .highly recommended and looking forward to buy another one soon

I purchased two of these braces and loved them. Unfortunately, as Athledicts listing says, they were flawed and I had to return them. Athledict quickly contacted me with an offer to replace the braces which I took them up on because these braces are phenomenal. My knees always hurt and can sometimes completely give out without warning. I have to focus when going down stairs as this action really tests my knees. Each step down hurts and a knee is more likely to let me down. Once I got these braces all that changed. I'm not running around like a maniac now or flying up and down the stairs, but my fear of my knees giving out is gone. I'm still careful when going down the stairs, but it's so much easier with these braces. In the past, when I'm outside working around the yard, my hurting knees would have even more pain at the end of the day. Not so with these braces. I wear these when I'm running around doing stuff, (weeding, mowing, planting- I'm retired), and when I eventually take the braces off - NO KNEE PAIN! My knees actually feel better than they did before I put the braces on. When I first started wearing the braces my legs would hurt after a few hours. My fault. I had them too tight. It was a little bit of a learning curve to get it right, but once I did I no longer had this problem. The braces have four Velcro attachments. The top ends Velcro together as well as the bottom ends. Then the top and bottom each have a long strap that you wrap around your leg/brace and Velcro. You can increase or decrease the support depending on how tightly you pull these long straps. All this gives a very secure fit. I never once had these braces slip down my leg. The listing says the brace does not pinch the back of your knee. They aren't lying. The back is open (as is the front at the kneecap) so there is nothing there to pinch. The metal hinges on this brace are heavy duty. I was worried about feeling them through the brace putting pressure on my leg and making it uncomfortable. Not the case. There is cushioning to prevent this from happening. I never felt any discomfort from the metal hinges. When I first started wearing the braces I kind of felt like The Six Million Dollar Man. (Old TV show about a bionic man.) This was because of these heavy duty hinges on either side of both my knees. I quickly got rid of the odd feeling and enjoyed wearing the braces. With the improvements Athledict made to the braces I look forward to getting a lot of use out of them. I have no issue wearing this brace under my bluejeans. If your pants are tight fitting, you might have to wear the brace outside your pants. Cool fashion statement. In a nutshell, you can not go wrong with this brace. I highly recommend it as well as the seller Athledict USA as well. I would buy from these guys again with no hesitation what so ever. I'm so satisfied with the braces and the seller that I ordered their orthodontic shoe inserts.

This is a very nice product, well worth the reasonable cost. The front closure makes it truly easy and simple to use. It’s slim enough even with the hinges to wear under clothing. Comfortable - yes, you can feel that it’s on but I find it to be in no way restrictive or uncomfortable. I’m very pleased with my choice and highly recommend it. It’s comfortable enough that I have no resistance or regrets about wearing it daily.

I purchased 2 of these braces on October 2025. I'm ordering 2 more today because I like them so much I want to be sure I have more if/when the originals wear out. I am a 78 year old woman and walk my 70 pound dog every day. I've had one full knee replacement and am trying to make sure I don't have to get the second one done. For those not familiar with knee replacements, you wind up losing your ACL. These braces are wonderful; the best I've found so far! They give stability to the knee with no ACL and help reduce impact to the other knee. I don't like the braces you have to slip on and off, so have found these Atheldict braces with their velcro straps to be super easy to get on and off, yet still give excellent support. These braces are worth every penny and I couldn't be happier with them.
