I used to value pure encapsulations as a trusted brand, worth the premium price, however have been receiving defective products (6 bottles in the past several months, for 4 different pure encapsulations supplement products) all received in similar condition. I reached out to both Amazon customer service and Pure encapsulations via their website and have not received any follow up other than hollow apologies from either. Pure encapsulations customer service told me they phased out their external quality control seal. I told them it was unfortunate as it appears to be effecting the quality of their alleged pure, hypoallergenic products. I received this bottle of magnesium glycinate today and opened the box and bottle within 15 minutes of delivery. There is no external quality seal. The cardboard mix top of the internal cap (as you can see from my photos) is warped, water damaged, and appears to be contaminated with mold. There is a sticky substance precipitated in a circle in the center of the inner quality control seal. The gross inner cap adhered to it and came off on the seal when I opened the cap. These are defective, unfit for me to consume and completely useless to me. I am concerned about widespread contamination issues and package design that could effect other customers. The lot # is 50347182, exp 12/2027. But I have received multiple other products in similar condition in the past few months as I mentioned.

I've ordered these before with no issues but this time they came with the cap half off and the seal just didnt look right. I wanted to exchange but it wasnt an option soni decided to open it to see how they look. The pills look ok but not sure if I'll take them (waste of $)

So, I had been doing research on insomnia and see a lot of people talking about magnesium pills and spray. I decided to give this one a try since it was highly recommended. I’m rating 4 stars because it was such a recommended brand, but it made me nauseous even with food, which kept me up. I can’t say whether it did or didn’t give me good sleep that night. I won’t be finishing these because I’d rather be dead than be nauseous.

Here's what I like about the supplement based on published company info: Non-GMO, Gluten-free and free from fillers and more. I personally like it because although not necessarily small, the capsules are easy to take. I think this is my 3rd bottle and I am happy with the product.
