Update: These work better than expected! There is a 5 - 8 degree temperature difference between rooms. As winter sets in I am confident I will be more comfortable and my electric bill will be more affordable. Definitely a great product! I live in an older mobile home, no central heat or air. I rely on window units to cool and electric oil heaters for heating. I used to hang blankets to separate spaces in order to retain/maintain temperature control. These quilted/thermal curtains are going to be a game changer! Very strong magnetic closures and not bad looking.
We bought this so our dog could get out to the yard easily. We opted for this over replacing a glass patio door with an expensive custom door with a traditional doggie door. We installed this with ease - directions given were clear and easy to execute. Installed during mega-hot, rainy Florida July. Kept the A/C in and hot temps out beautifully. Magnetic closures worked great as our big dog let herself in and out. So nice not to jump up and let the dog in and out. We highly recommend with the only aside, as you can see in the photo, the bottom of the insulated door has a bit of a gap, which is needed to let the door freely swing open and close magnetically.

Very well made. Heavy duty for sure! The window is clear and easy to see through and the magnets work well. My dogs like to blast through the door way, so I like to use the tacks in addition to the velcro. I wish it came with a few more tacks, however.
Excellent! This door curtain is heavy duty. It actually works to keep out both heat and cold. I love the plastic window at top. It’s good quality and heavy. I absolutely love it. I’ve bought just the regular mesh magnetic screens several times which are great but wanted something to keep heat and cold out but also would allow my digs to come in and out. I can’t put a doggy door in that door. This is the perfect solution. I would highly recommend.
I purchased this product because homeowners insurance did not cover the damage to a patio door. My mom needed to be rescued and the firefighters did some damage ( I’m sure it could have been worse). Insurance is a waste of time and money but we are told we must have it!!! So last year I tried alien tape… it really didn’t work as they claim it would work. Alien tape helped very little for the gap I was trying to keep cold out and heat in. This year new plan… this magnetic curtain. So far I’m not impressed with the reviews that were left about the installation. Either I got a bad batch of tape, others are lying or they just had better skills to install. I put the top strip up…. Yes, after washing the surface and letting it dry. It was falling off even before I put up the curtain. So that’s a thumbs down Lucky for me I have glue that I use for crafting “e6000”. In order for me to get the Velcro tape to hold I used this on the surface and then added the tape. Read the instructions it says allow 24 hours to cure… I waited 48 hours because I want this to stay in place. This curtain needs to hold up through the winters we have in the Midwest. So again thumbs down for what others say about it’s easy installation As far as the curtain goes: I think it’s very good and should do the job I’d like for it to do… once I can get it mounted/installed properly. The size is perfect for the French patio doors that I’m trying to insulate. Thumbs up I also wanted something that would let in the light AND would allow for easy entering and exiting. So far this is meeting my expectations. Thumbs up I will have to come back and let you know how it holds up during the harsh winter weather. (Insulating effect) And then again once the season is over ( closure and durability) I like it when people review things appropriately… I hope my review will help others who might also be struggling with the purchase of this item. And to the manufacturers maybe they will add glue to the packaging… Oh yeah I installed to the outside of the house it would not function properly if installed to the inside. Possibly okay if the door was not being used to go in and out of, but we will be using the door.
Install was easy. I put the velcro around the door frame and wish I would have put it up about 6'. I can get through the opening, but being a little higher would have been better. The curtain holds the cold at bay and the heat inside the house. It's perfect!
Best purchase I made with the artic weather we are having. Cut the amount of cold coming in the door. Extremely durable and Easy install. The adhesive is very strong and I have dogs so I used the tacks also. The fit was perfect and it closes easily and lines up every time. I highly recommend using one in the winter and will have to think about the summer since my dogs and cats like the door open so they can see our!
