THE SCIENCE

Why Overnight Positioning Makes All The Difference

During sleep, feet naturally point downward, allowing connective tissue to tighten in a shortened position. This dorsal splint counteracts that tendency by maintaining a gentle stretch for 6-8 hours each night.

The adjustable strap system lets you control the intensity, while cushioned padding ensures comfort doesn't compromise consistency. Choose between single or 2-pack options based on your needs.

How It Works

1

Adjust the Straps

Customize the tension and angle using the easy-adjust strap system before bed.

2

Secure Around Foot

Position the padded splint and fasten securely but comfortably for overnight wear.

3

Sleep Naturally

The low-profile design works invisibly while you rest for 6-8 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long should I wear the splint each night?

Most users wear the splint for 6-8 hours during sleep. Start with shorter periods if needed and gradually increase duration as you adjust to the sensation.

Can I wear this on either foot?

Yes, the splint is designed to fit either left or right foot. The 2-pack option is ideal if you need bilateral support.

Will this feel uncomfortable while sleeping?

The cushioned interior and adjustable straps ensure comfort during extended wear. Most users adapt within 3-5 nights as they find their ideal tension setting.

How do I clean the splint?

Wipe down with a damp cloth and mild soap, then air dry completely. The breathable materials resist odor buildup with regular cleaning.

What's the difference between the 1-pack and 2-pack?

The 1-pack includes a single splint for one foot, while the 2-pack provides two splints for bilateral use or as a backup option at better value.

Decent brace alleviates pain, see Comparison photos

Brace is best I’ve found so far. Don’t get ones that stretch your toes way up, makes them numb. This gives just enough support & you can keep adjusting to comfort level. Wish there was support for the heel but I got an extra heel strap in case I got up at night. This was an upgraded version of The AiBast Plantar Fasciitis Night Splint, ASIN B087TVCTSD. I didn’t like that one (blue pad) since you needed 4 straps instead of 3 and strap adjusts at top and bottom so sometimes either end came loose whereas this one adjusts on one end. The Velcro against the foam pad keeps it in place & seems to hold foot more secure in front compared to the other one.

Great for wanted them for

I’ve never tried anything like these before. I bought to help stretch out my Achilles tendons that are bulging, and my tight calves. I got a pair, left and right. But the velcro on left one barely sticks. The right one works great. I can’t say whether or not they will help with what I bought them for as it’s too soon. But disappointed about the left one. It seems like whatever material the strap is made out of & used on outside strap the Velcro strip will barely stick to it and pops apart. See 1st photo. And the material on outside is just a little bit different than the material on the inside as it will stick great to the inside. But It’s not reversible as it’s sewn together on the top part of the foot wrap. I cannot find any customer contact info or I would’ve started there instead of posting publicly.

Works for plantar fasciitis

I have pretty stubborn plantar fasciitis in both feet that normal stretching, orthotics, and cortisone injections just couldn’t seem to shake all the way. Got these to try and they definitely help a great deal, especially in the mornings. I have had them about a week so I can’t speak to if they are a long term “cure” but so far so good. They are comfortable enough that I don’t constantly want to take them off. My only complaint is is want there to be a little bit more “stretch” to the plantar fascia than these provide. They do a fairly good job at keeping your foot at just under 90 degrees but I can’t get them more than that.

Positioning

After much trial and error, like other reviewers have said it really depends on placement. In the beginning I was placing it too close to my toes causing discomfort. Placing it closer to the middle/below the ball of my foot helped. I appreciate all of the options for adjusting the tightness/width to your foot. I can’t wear it all night; usually around 3-4AM my foot will start to burn and I have to take it off. My podiatrist said most people can’t wear them the entire night. My issues go beyond plantar fasciitis at this point, but I definitely continue to wear it nightly so it must be doing something.

Meh

I have rheumatoid arthritis that causes lots of issues and plantar fasciitis is a new one. I have sharp stabbing pain in my heel and originally bought wraps that helped but i still had pain w morning stiffness. Rheum suggested this style brace to help. I followed the instructions and at 5’5 and size 9 shoe it just...didnt fit great. Too long. I reread the directions on here to be sure and yup did it right. No matter how tight or loose i left it the top part pulls forward...without my foot. Like elf shoes. It didnt force or support keeping my foot straight up either, which is the point. I found if i forced myself n held my leg up while laying down i could get the bad muscle but the boot not only helped i think it hindered w extra weight. The ball is nice and works. Ive given up this and am trying my tens now

Great splint, but needs better Velcro(R)

I’ve tried a few different boots and splints and this works the best for me. The open design keeps my foot cool and I can walk around my bedroom without removing it. I purchased this splint twice, and both times the hook and loop wrap closure stopped gripping. It’s is a poor quality, not real Velcro. I had to fashion my own strap.

Sped up healing for plantar fasciitis

I purchased this product to assist with recovering from plantar fasciitis. The idea is to wear the brace while you sleep to keep your foot in a flexed position to alleviate tightness in the morning and prevent the tendon from healing in a contracted position. This brace does what it's supposed to do, and definitely helped speed up the healing process. my biggest complaint is comfort. It's very uncomfortable for about the first week, until you can find a sweet spot. The portion that wraps around the ball of your feet can be too tight or too low and cuts the circulation off to your toes. It is what it is and you may have to adjust in the middle of the night. I will certainly continue to use this product.

Helpful for painful foot issue

I ordered this product after not a ton of research, but thanks to some helpful reviews and am happy to say it has helped me in a short amount of time. The bottom of my foot all of a sudden developed this sharp pain when I took a stride - from the arch to the tops and bottom of my toes. It happened suddenly, and was excruciating. I bought this and not only does the brace work, but that little massage ball included did wonders. I found my foot is improving by keeping it at a 90 degree angle to my calf. This is after about 10 days. Maintaining that position is the key benefit of this brace. It is best for resting or sleeping, but when my foot hurt most it actually helped when I was just slowly walking around inside with it on. I will say the trick for me is to not make it too tight or extreme. Really just keeping the foot at 90 degrees comfortably, not trying to overstretch it. Great product. Probably the main thing improving my foot besides icing it, rolling it on the ball it comes with, and trying to stay off it as much as possible.

Works great for a fraction of the cost of night splints that doctors sell.

I have Plantar Fasciitis in both feet. The Dr. wanted me to purchase a full boot type night splint for a few hundred dollars. I went to Amazon and saw this. I purchased one to try. The first night I could only wear it for a few hours. Second night was the same. Third night I wore it all night and noticed that I didn't have as much pain in that heel the next morning. I bought another one for my other foot. I have been wearing both night splints every night and believe I am on the road to recovery. I'm so glad I purchased these. The cost for two splints was a fraction of the cost of the one splint that the dr. wanted to sell to me and are much more comfortable. I never would have been able to sleep with two full length night splints. I highly recommend these to anyone who is suffering from Plantar Fasciitis. Also, this seller shipped super fast!

Could be better

I bought this after my hard boot for plantar fasciitis failed. I was excited to get something less cumbersome and perhaps easier to walk in for the night-time toilet trips. It's very comfortable and easy to walk in. Two problems: 1. The strap that comes down from the ankle to the toe is too long. This strap, along with the metal insert, set the foot angle. Slowly increasing this angle over a period of weeks can really help with the plantar fasciitis. So either the strap needs to be shorter or the velcro on the end needs to be longer. I fixed it in 5 minutes on my spouse's sewing machine. Now I can get my foot pulled back further. 2. The velcro on the ankle strap isn't proper velcro. It routinely comes loose. When that happens, you get zero benefit. Again, I fixed this by sewing proper velcro on the ankle strap. I really wanted to give a better review, as I no longer sound and look like Frankenstein when I'm plodding to the bathroom at 1 am. Just a couple of tweaks and it's almost perfect.

Is ok but……….

It works really well, but it’s not very well constructed and it falls apart after a couple months. This is the third one I’ve bought.

It's comfortable

Update after 5 months. Still work as advertised but I've found that the Velcro lets go if I bump it at night. Perhaps a stronger bit of Velcro would improve the grip for longer. Will clean out the grabber teeth tonight to see if that helps. Velcro is frequently problematic for us with three dogs. My review doesn't change. Just adding some insight. My foot 'drops' while sleeping and causes tendon pain. This splint keeps the ankle flexed. I sleep on my back and find it to be comfortable. It keeps the foot a bit warmer also, which is a plus for me. Metal splint bends easily enough and can be adjusted to the flexion of my ankle with some tweaking, which eliminated a pressure point at the front of the ankle. Serves my purpose at a reasonable cost. I do not have any of the described foot problems however.

Good budget brace, works well with a few tweaks.

This product worked for my plantar fasciitis. It was a little difficult to figure out how to use at first but once I figured it out it worked great and healed my persistent PF in about a week only wearing it a few hours a day. I have found the best way to put this thing on is opposite what the instructions say. Fasten it snuggly but not overly tight around your toes so those are lined up correctly. Your toes should be sticking out and the strap wrapped around the ball of your foot. Then flex your foot toward your calf and fasten that. I had to bend the metal bar to a deeper angle than it came but that was easy to do and held up for a few days of stretching before bending back again and I would have to adjust. At the start, I didn't think the stretch was as deep as it should be but after wearing it the first time my foot started aching in that way that you know you are getting a good deep stretch. By the end of the week, my foot no longer ached while in the device but my pain when walking had completely disappeared as well. This device is a little less bulky than the boot style braces which is why I chose it and the padding makes it very comfortable. My toes inevitably feel asleep after a couple hours of wearing it but when that that happened I would just take it off and put it on again later in the day or the next day. This is a great budget option for people looking to try to help their foot pain before having to see an expensive specialist. It definitely worked for me!

Uncomfortable, but still an improvement

The splint easily holds my foot in the desired position without being fitted snugly but the edge of the splint where it wraps around my little toe is irritating. I’ve tried repositioning the foam padding but that just seems to move the point of irritation. The edge of the foam pad itself is sharp. To my fingertips it doesn’t feel terrible but to my little toe along the outer edge it feels somewhat irritating after a short while. The discomfort is on the level of a wrinkle in your sock—not so bad at first, but the irritation builds. I am not using the splint for plantar fasciitis. I have a non-healing ankle sprain and need the splint to hold my foot in relative dorsiflexion to avoid strain on the muscles. Overall, the splint is well-constructed and does what I need it to do. I bought it to replace a device I rigged up at home that also feels uncomfortable after a short time in the same spot on my foot. I don’t think my feet are especially sensitive. I hope there is some kind of design modification that would make the splint more comfortable. I think the challenge is primarily in finding a way to distribute the pull of the splint over a wider area of the foot. I am, at times, putting the splint on over a Ked tennis shoe to make it more tolerable. I needed something more sturdy than a house slipper across the ball of my foot but softer than the usual street shoe. The problem with this setup is I need a sock inside this shoe and my feet really prefer being bare. The splint alone is close enough to bare.

Relief from ankle and leg pain

I’ve only used this for a couple of nights, but it really seems to help. It’s very comfortable and easy to put on. I have flat feet, which stresses the ankle and calf muscles. I’ve used medications, heat pads, stretching, massage, but at night I sometimes had cramps in the calf and locking up of the ankle. This splint keeps my ankle in the correct position, my calf feels more relaxed, and in the morning my leg feels much better. I’m amazed at the relief from pain. Edit to update: I’m still using this every night, and I have had NO pain in my leg. What a relief! Easy to slip on, and stays on all night. The toe straps do not need to be loosened to put on or take off, just the calf strap. Update 6/23 yes the Velcro will sometimes unstick, or gets clogged, or stops sticking. I added another piece of Velcro, and pick out any fibers, hair, lint, whatever. I plan to add a strap to make the Velcro more secure. But I’ve used this every night for more than 2 years and I believe it helped a lot.

Works for what it is needed for

The ability to adjust is easy and gives pain relief fast. The support feels amazing and the ease of use is ok. It is a little tricky. It’s also a little annoying to try to sleep in at night it’s not bulky but just awkward and after I fall asleep I wake up in the night having to rip them off. I would suggest wearing whenever resting feet instead of at night unless you can get used to it.

Maybe ok on a smaller than size 12 foot.

Too small, barely fits my foot. And, the strap to hold the foot at the proper angle is too long, I can't get it to pull my foot up enough. There is only a little piece of velcro at the bottom of the strap, not enough to trim for a better pull on the foot.

The most useless piece of junk ever - DON'T waste your money

Flawed design to say the least and will likely cause additional pain as it did me. I wanted to give it a try rather than using the bulky boot type supports. Not only was it ineffective because the flawed design, it caused new pain at the top of my foot. The idea is to have your toes pointed slightly upward toward your body to stretch the foot. Instead of the hard part (metal support) being at the bottom of your foot like other braces for this purpose, this was designed with the metal top of the foot with only fabric wrapping around the bottom of the foot. The fabric stretches so the top of the foot never really comes forward which is what is needed but even worse, with your foot not able to point upward toward your body the metal support digs into the top of your foot. Not only does this NOT help the bottom of the foot, it causes more pain at the top of the foot (the boney part). If you want something that effectively works, get the boot type support with the hard bottom that goes from your toes, around. your heels and up the back of the calf with straps on top of your foot and the front of your leg. I've had issues with heel spurs on and off for years.... the boot type with hard bottom and straps on top of the foot is the only effective design. I'm not saying the boot type with the hard bottom will be comfortable to sleep with but it will certainly be more effective than this very flawed useless thing. Don't waste a dime on this one.

1 Month of use review ALMOST 100% HEALED!

After one month of use I have to say this brace is amazing. I have read many reviews about the level of pain that people were going through because of their plantar fasciitis. I would have to say from one to ten mine was somewhere around an eight or nine. When waking up in the morning it literally felt like stepping on the bottom of a broken soda bottle. I was ready to start using a cane in the morning until the tendon start to loosen up. It hurts really bad in the morning when you wake up until it loosens up. Day one through three I wasn’t quite sure if it was doing anything. By day four I was certain it was getting better. By day seven it was at least 25% better. By day 14 it was at least 50% better. And now that we are on day 30, it is almost 90% better. The healing has slowed down a little over the last week but I truly feel over the next 2 to 3 weeks it will be completely healed. I will write another review in 2 to 3 weeks. If you’re like me and you’re starting to really worry if you need to go to the doctor and potentially get surgery, take the gamble try this brace. I thought in my opinion, there was a 90% chance I was going to need surgery based on the pain level. I was wrong, as of right now if it did not get any better I would be completely fine. Update: I forgot to write a full up. My foot was completely back to normal at around 45 day and it had been perfect ever since. I am healed😊.

Missing the Ball kind of sad!

Have them on currently, not bad. Hoping to see some progress I am about to turn 20… and got diagnosed with arthritis, plantar fasciitis, and heel spurs last week. I’ve bought lots of things to try so I’m hoping I out these on right and they work. Sadly enough though I am missing the ball that is supposed to come with. I was actually pretty excited to use that after I take them off and in the mornings to help stretch out some stiffness. That’s one of the reasons I bought these ones so kinda sad!
