For the price these are pretty amazing, only issue is the case. I got these so I can listen to music and do meetings at work. They do the job and do the job well. The quality is way better than expected. I have a pair of Sony earbuds which are obviously better but at 3X the price. These give me just enough bass and clarity not to be annoying or tinny. As long as they stay under $40 they are easily EASILY worth the price. They are comfortable and you can hear very easily. Now the downsides. The case is annoying. The ear buds don't stay seated well enough to charge (or could be the case hinge) while being tumbled around in a bag or pocket. Even while in my bag while driving my car the case will randomly open and the buds try to connect to my phone. So charge them at night in a table or flat surface.
*Updated with sleep review!* TL;DR if you're looking for something that will fit well, comes with minimal muss/ fuss, connects easily, has good sound, is waterproof-these are for you! However, If you're looking for something for sleep avoid these at all costs! Full review below 👇🏻 6/19/24 I got these because I have sleep anxiety, and ASMR or music help a lot. Sleeping with headphones can be painful, esp if you use them all day, too . I wouldn't call myself an audio file, because that would imply I understand what all the numbers mean and how you should use them. I just go by my own personal experience. Since I listen to a number of things on my headphones, and I feel so using headphones to speakers or other methods, I tend to collect them. Because of ADHD I tend to lose or destroy them, so I was looking for something that would not hurt when I was sleeping, have decent enough sound that it wouldn't be awful, just something to get the job done for sleep. I have on wireless headphones, the on true wireless earbuds, Tangry Tru wireless buds, and Skull Candy Cassette, at the moment. I've listened to bose, I've had a sony's, etc. But what if you just need headphones that work well, and you don't want to spend $200? That was the mission. I just received them a few hours ago. I'm going to give my immediate first impressions here. Then I'm going to use them overnight, and I will update. Fit- Not bad, they probably won't fall out during exercise, but for sleeping they don't thrill me🫤 Mine did not come with extra earbuds, so the tips that it came with are my choice unless I want to go hunt some down. I'm a female with small ears, so I can already tell you I'm going to have to do that. Pain-again, not super happy. I bought these based off reviews that they were good for this specific thing, but not many people are actually putting reviews for sleeping. (Part of why I wanted to do this) I placed my head, not even lying down, against the back of my couch and there was pain. If I wiggle them around and basically put them in upside down, if you doable. Again, haven't slept the night with these, so I'll let you know what works. Sound- super happy! It comes with an app with presets, and you can customize it if you know what you're doing. I don't, and so I'm just going to pick whatever works best for me at the time. Both my phone and the headphones have equalizers, I'm sure I'll make something work. (Otherwise, maybe I should take an AV class🤔) Again, these were bought for sleep and it be great if they work for other things! The base was busy enough everything sounded okay. These would certainly be fine for the average person running around and doing their day-to-day stuff. They sound better than the beach I bought several years ago, though I've heard those are better, now. I can tell you that the true wireless earbuds from on, which are around 20 to 30 bucks at walmart, and pair easily and come with different tips? They're probably more comfortable than these. Not a significant price difference either. And Walmart has sales! If I end up not liking me, and right now, I'm not sure I will, I may simply return them for those. My last pair got lost, so I wanted to try something new. I'm not paying $200 for sleep headphones, so I'll let you know tomorrow what I really think. **6/20/24 sleep review** Yeah, these ain't it! These are fantastic for day to day. Don't get me wrong, I'm going to have a hard time sending these back because I like them. However, when it came to sleeping, they didn't perform. Let's start with fit. My left ear is a little bit smaller than my right. And that made the experience painful. They don't come with extra tips, so you're stuck with what you get in the box. And that worked okay for my right ear, but not at all for the left. And, on my left side sleeper so these didn't work well. The controls are sensitive enough that laying on your side will mess with them. All in all, great for the day not great for sleep. On to the next!
TOZO Open Ear “Earring” Earbuds Review (My husband wrote this review) Overall, these are really great earbuds, especially considering the price. Brands like Bose and other “premium” companies sell similar open-ear style buds for around $200 or more at the time of this review. I’ve only had these for a few weeks, so I can’t comment on long-term durability yet. However, I’ve owned TOZO products before—my previous pair is about 4 years old and still working great. They show some wear, but if these last that long too, especially at this price point, that’s a win in my book. With that said, let’s get into it. The Awesome: Coming from traditional noise-canceling or isolation earbuds, there are times when I actually want more situational awareness depending on what I’m doing. That’s the main reason I initially bought these. These are perfect for situations where hearing your surroundings matters. For example: • Running on a road • Cycling on shared paths • Doing things around the house while still needing to hear a baby monitor or alarm • Listening to an audiobook while driving without waking my wife, while still being able to hear horns or sirens There are plenty of scenarios where these make sense. They offer a really nice balance—you can stay in your own audio “zone,” but still remain aware of what’s happening around you. Another huge plus: they do not move in your ears. Out of all the earbuds I’ve owned in my lifetime, these are the first pair I’ve never had to adjust during a workout. I can complete a full weight-training session (about an hour) and they stay exactly where I placed them. The “earring” design felt a little weird at first, but it has really grown on me. In fact, I now find myself using these more than my traditional earbuds. Another big advantage is compatibility with glasses. I wear sunglasses frequently due to photosensitivity, and these don’t interfere at all. The charging case is also surprisingly compact considering the size of the earbuds. The build quality feels solid and it holds a decent charge. It’s not extraordinary, but it’s perfectly respectable. I’d estimate about 4–5 full earbud charges from the case before needing to recharge it. The Negative: The only real downside appears when you need strong noise isolation or are in a very loud environment. Because these use an open-ear design, they can’t reach a volume level that fully overcomes loud ambient noise while still remaining safe to listen to. A good example: I’m a Planet Fitness Black Card member and love the hydromassage beds. When the water jets move near my head, the ambient noise is loud enough that these earbuds struggle to compete. So far, that’s the only real situation where I wish I had traditional sealed earbuds instead. I mention this just to give people a realistic expectation of the limitations of open-ear designs. Your experience may vary, but for me that’s been the only scenario where these fall short. The Verdict: If you’re curious about open-ear earbuds, these are definitely worth trying—especially at this price point. If you buy them through Amazon Prime and they’re not for you, returns are easy. Personally, I’ll continue to keep both styles of earbuds: • Traditional earbuds for noisy environments • These open-ear TOZO buds for everyday use I could explain all day why I like these, but honestly you just have to try them yourself. Bought with my own money, not compensated for this review—just sharing a genuinely positive experience.
I bought these earbuds on Amazon last year. The small, rounded charging case was so cute, and I really liked the little screen on the outside that shows the battery levels of the earbuds. The sound was just as good as the reviews said, especially the bass. The microphone quality was also surprisingly clear during phone calls. After I lost one of the earbuds, I immediately bought another pair. And then yesterday, disaster happened: the earbuds and one of the earbuds accidentally went through both the washing machine and the dryer with my workout shorts. When I found them, they were still warm from the dryer sitting right in the palm of my hand. I thought, well, I guess it’s time to buy my third pair. The rounded charging case is actually very sturdy. I’ve accidentally dropped it several times, and despite the signs of everyday use, there are still no cracks or major damage. The build quality is excellent. Considering the price, I wouldn’t mind buying another pair. But I decided to wait one more day and give the surviving earbud a chance. I took it out of the case and left it separately on my desk to dry. Today, I put it back into the charging case, and to my absolute surprise, the screen showed that the earbud had about 50% battery left, while the charging case still had 72%! Seriously… what a miracle! After going through a full wash cycle AND the heat of a dryer, it still works. I’m genuinely impressed by the quality and durability of these earbuds. Highly recommended! Reliable quality and absolutely worth the price!
These are my favorite running earbuds to date. Since they’re not shoved into your ear canal, you can still hear your surroundings even if you crank up the volume. Since they’re designed to stay out of your ear canal you will have to crank up the volume to get the same level you would need at half volume if they were inserted into your ears. Make sense? But that’s not a knock against it. On the contrary that’s what makes them preferable for walking / running. You can hear what’s going on around you and still listen to whatever it is you’re listening to. If I needed to drown out extremely loud noise I would use my more traditional Tozo earbuds but these work great for exercising. They are so lightweight I forget they’re hooked on to my ear if nothing is playing for a while and especially if I’m only using one. Several times I’ve thought I had lost one when I looked in the case only to realize the other one was in my ear. They stay put when running. Looking at the design you’d think they’d slip off when running but they don’t. Or haven’t with me. In fact the only time they’ve come off accidentally is when my hand or shirt hits one as I’m taking off my shirt if I forgot to take them out first. The case lets you know what percentage of battery is left which is nice. Still working on the functionality but I do know that two taps pauses and two taps plays. Recommended!
So, I don't usually write reviews but I thought it was warranted in this case. I purchased these buds in the middle of December 2024 and at the same time I had purchased one other brand of open-ear buds and one standard set of in-ear buds. Out of the three I really enjoyed these the most because they were super comfortable and my use case requires me to be able to hear my surroundings perfectly for safety reasons. These were also the louder/easier to hear of the two open ear options, the in-ear option had an audio passthrough function but it had a muted/artificial quality to the passthrough audio which for me was unpleasant and of course I don't like bud ear sweat after 8+ hours of wearing a pair of buds so these were seriously the best option for my use case. Around the middle of April of 2025, about four months later, I was wearing the buds listening to a book and I noticed the left bud started cutting out. At first any number of possible issues came to mind, did it slip out of my ear? Software glitch? My Bluetooth cutting out? Well it wasn't any of those, as I messed around with it I realized that if you squeezed the stem that connects the back and front of the bud it will cut in and out very consistently so my assumption is that one of the wires internally had become partially separated or damaged. If anyone remembers how wired headphone connections would degrade over time but you could stretch that last bit of life out of them by taping the wire down near the aux plug yeah imagine that but now it's a tiny device the sits in your ear so no taping is possible this time. To get to the point I contacted Tozo through their app support and then finished speaking with them through email support, I explained when I purchased the item and what was going on with it and the troubleshooting steps I had personally taken to verify they were actually defective, they proceeded to request the order number and a video of the issue if I could manage it. Thankfully my phones microphone was able to pick up the audio from the bud when audio was cranked to max and the equalizer was cranked as well. Sent the requested information, rather late I might add (around 6:30pm CST), and they promptly responded the next morning (just after 6am CST) and requested my address so they could send a replacement as soon as possible. Sent that and received a response that it would be shipping and on its way soon. The bottom line that I'm getting too and why I gave it four stars even though I had issues is I really do like the product and the companies support was quick to rectify the situation and were extremely cordial it certainly wasn't like some companies I've dealt with where replacing a defective item or doing an RMA/Warranty claim is like pulling teeth. There was no asking me to do fifteen different tests and troubleshooting steps that I had already done simply them apologizing for the inconvenience and replacing the defective device, simple, they even said to keep the old devices and don't worry about sending them in so as not to inconvenience me any further. Honestly I would've been happy to send them in for an engineering to inspect so as to figure out and and correct the root cause of the malfunction to make sure it's not a bigger/more prevalent issue ,I suppose it's possible that this is just a super common issue and they've had to do a large amount of replacements already but I would assume if it was that bad they would've recalled the affected units and fixed the issue or at the very least released a V2. To wrap up I'll reiterate, I'm very happy with these buds just wish the first pair had survived longer, hopefully the next ones will last much longer. I'll be sure to come back to update ever few months if I have any issues and if these last through the next 6 months I'm willing to come back to update to a five star as that's what they deserve despite a few desired improvements and had they not malfunctioned. My personal wishlist of improvement points I would give to Tozo if they're developing a V2 of these is to try to get them just a bit louder at standard equalizer settings, perhaps adjust the process or type of touch input for the controls because I had to turn off all gesture controls because often when I would turn my head behind me for an extended period my neck/ear was pressing the touch control. Last but most importantly if possible an improvement to battery life of just an hour or two would make these even more perfect than they already are since as is on adjusted EQ settings at max volume they only last about 7-7.5 hours for audiobooks depending on how often you pause. I have a feeling music at max would last maybe slightly less time as audiobooks on average aren't very loud to begin with but I usually use a speaker if I'm listening to music so I haven't tried it yet but as an aside the Tozo PE1 portable speaker pairs well as a companion piece especially if like me you need music for at least a couple of hours of y...
Absolutely my favorite new earbuds! Long battery life, comfortable, and can wear at work or during activities where I still need to be available to hear other people when needed. Microphone quality is good too. I do wish the volume when a bit higher, as sometimes I can't hear them over whatever else is going on around me - but those instances are few and far between.
Bought these in May 2026. I’m in an office for 9hrs, I switch my earpiece on and off throughout my shift and haven’t had an issue (reviews say they have had issues where one would stop working). Forgot the right earpiece in my coffee cup as I brewed my kcup 😅 it stayed in my coffee for about 3-5 minutes when I realized what I did and while tying to fish it out! It still works! Great product for the price! Pro: They are durable, they work great if you want to listen to your music etc while still listening to your surroundings, phone calls work just fine, easily connects to monitors/phones/laptops, “coffee proof”, and clips just fine around my ear Con: Battery life is good - switch the earpiece 2hrs before my shift is over so not too bad
This is my first pair of open ear buds so I have nothing to compare these to in that regard however, I have dozens of different earbuds/headphones ranging from no name e-waste to studio quality corded OTE headphones and I wanted these specifically to use outside for yard work and when I go on runs so I can hear my surroundings and these are honestly so impressive I had to leave a review. Sound quality out of the box is lack luster but I messed with the Custom EQ and now they sound pretty good, much nicer than most in ear buds I have some costing 8x more than these. Comfort wise these are hands down THE most comfortable earbuds I have ever tried, it doesnt even feel like im wearing anything. At the time im writing this these are on sale for $27 and I dont think you can find better ear buds for that price. Definitely found this year's stocking stuffer
Although the touch controls are a bit limited because there are a lot of ways to tap these earbuds by accident, I love love love these earbuds because they are the first ones that don't fall out of my ears when I'm working in the garden. It's one thing to be wearing earbuds while walking, but when I'm shoveling and bent over pulling weeds or cutting branches from trees, my other earbuds tend to fall off or out. But not these. They hold tight. They are a unique design, and I thank the folks who figured it out. Excellent for a workout with a lot of movement. The case holds a long charge. Just great. Love love love.
I love these! They're super comfy, and have surprisingly good quality sound considering their size. I can't use IEMs due to incredibly sensitive ear canals, and it's too hot to wear a full on over ear setup. These allow me to listen to gaming/music/chat while being comfy, and give me the freedom to wear earrings and style my hair as well. I use them on my PC, so I haven't tried the companion mobile app. My major complaint is that advertise up to 10 hours on a single charge, and the most I've got before the alert sounds, is just over 6 hours. I don't listen to things at a high volume, so I'm not even sure how they go flat so fast? I wish I could get more time out of a charge so I could get through an entire stream without needing to change to my backup earbuds. Less important is that the low battery sound is very loud, and very alarming, especially if you're not prepared for it. The first time I heard it, I couldn't figure out where the laser weapon sounds were coming from.
I bought these as an option B (Originally I bought the TOZO over the ear buds but found them too bulky) and these became the better option. At first I thought I would have to mess with it each time to get the perfect angle to listen but they've become easy to put on. I wear them several hours a day at work with no ear-fatigue. They are light weight and easy enough to control. I liked the TOZO because it has the battery screen and it easily charges with no difficulty. Cons: The buds die with no warning other than the shut off sound, so no 'heads up, I'm about to die' feature. Pros: Battery life is long enough for me 8 hours, charges fast, comfortable.
I am writing this review after approximately 7 months of daily use. I got these to try this style earbud due to the price before spending a lot of money on another brand. I liked them so much that I did not need to spend more. They charge quickly and last for hours listening to music. They are comfortable, like I have to feel my ear to see if I still have it on, and sound really good. As for staying on your ear, I forgot I was wearing one and went on a roller coaster and it stayed in place. The negatives- sometimes it doesn’t connect to the phone and I have to manually connect in the phone Bluetooth settings. And after 7 months, 1 of the ear buds has started to have a buzzing sound, kind of like a blown speaker in a car. And I don’t get notifications in them like I did on my AirPods, maybe that can be turned on, not sure. One last thing is that in a very loud environment they don’t block out the surrounding sound and it is hard to hear. Overall, depending on your needs, I would recommend.
They are light and small, and very comfortable to wear. I forget I’m even wearing them. They are also easy to connect to my phone, and the sound is good. But they are not bone conduction. That’s my fault because I thought they were, but after I bought them and read the description more carefully, I noticed that they actually never said they were bone conduction. Since they are open-ear, they are basically like two little speakers next to your ears. You can hear the sound clearly, but other people nearby can hear it too. So I think they are better to use by yourself in your room, or you should keep the volume at the lowest level when you are around other people.
I've loved my tozo t6s that I've had for like 3 years now. But I've never been a fan of having things in my ears and struggle with earbuds causing irritation and falling out all the time. These are a great solution, I was going to get a pair that clipped around the ear when discovering this ear ring style, it's not really my choice for fashion but they are very comfortable and stay in place well. Unfortunately I think my ears are a little big for them and they don't rest where they should but even so I can hardly tell they're there, just not as loud as they could be if they were positioned closer to my ear canal. I find them easier to handle than my tozo t6s as I can't grab the ring part and not accidently tap them, pausing what im listening to. I doubt I could hear them over a lawnmower but I'm certain they won't fall out no matter what activity I'm doing, it's so nice being able to yawn or bend over without having to catch a falling earbud. 10/10 highly recommend.
After having these earbuds for over a year now, I decided it was finally time for a review. If you are having any doubts or are unsure if you should choose these or another pair of earbuds….GET THESE. I love them for MANY reasons but the top reasons include: 1. They stay on no matter what, they won’t fall off your ears if you’re running, cleaning, you could probably fight a kangaroo and these would stay on. 2. They stay charged FOREVER. I haven’t had to charge these but a few times, and I love they they charge in the case!! 3. You can listen to these almost full volume (which you won’t need too because they get LOUD) and no one around you will hear what you’re listening too. I also love that because I have long hair I can put these on and no one can tell I’m listening to anything. So I can listen to my own music at work and no one gets upset about it. 4. My ear holes don’t get all hot and sweaty with these. I can’t stand traditional earbuds or headphones because they make my ear holes so hot and sweaty and feel gross as heck. These completely eliminate that issue. And they don’t hurt my ears at all so I can keep them on for hours without pain. 5. I think the sound quality is great personally, music sounds good, talking on the phone is great (everyone can hear me clearly). 6. The price!!! My gosh the price is perfect, if they died tomorrow I would be so sad of course, but not that sad because I could buy another pair without breaking the bank. In this day and age I appreciate its affordability and the fact that they seem to be holding up really well. Now onto my very small cons. 1. I can’t find a case to put these in to keep them safe. I was able to use a different case but it of course doesn’t fit perfectly and is kind of awkward. 2. The controls. Now this could be mostly user error, but I can’t remember what the controls are so switching songs or trying to answer an incoming call is kind of a pain. But I do have a terrible memory so again, most likely user error. That’s it. Those are my only cons. Bottom line is, there are amazing earbuds and I recommend them to every person I know. You won’t regret these!
