We have a long-hair cat who doesn't shed enough, and a medium-hair cat who sheds too much. This grooming kit is excellent at addressing both of their fur; but, it is still quite loud and terrifying to them. Even at lowest, 'Quieter than a normal conversation' must be based on if you're sitting at a full table in a restaurant and everyone has their voices raised trying to talk over each other. Sure, we don't need to yell to understand each other if we talk loudly while this is running; but it's still loud enough that I don't want to be around it too long, and our cats don't want to be around it at all. After weeks of daily passive/peaceful exposure to it, we can only just get it close enough to the cats that we can begin grooming with one of us holding a cat while the other of us uses the vacuum. The hose has a built-in cord to power the trimmer when attached at the end; but the trimmer cannot be powered on unless the vacuum is running. There is no other way to activate the trimmer to have a quieter environment. Each attachment is effortless to swap out, the hose has release buttons on each end that unlock the vacuum or attachments from the hose with a gentle push. The grooming brush attachment works great, and the nylon tips glide across our cats skin without any snags or scratches. The large button on the back is decently easy to press with one thumb, sliding the back plate forward to get any stuck fur off of the brush bristles. The cleaning brush works decently well to lift fur off furniture, and the crevice cleaning tool is excellent at getting between cushions. The vacuum is quite powerful, it does well to pick up everything we throw at it, and the vortex within the collection chamber prevents buildup from blocking airflow. I currently have everything stored in a reusable shopping bag; but I need to find a permanent solution to keep the vacuum and so many accessories together in storage as the original packaging is cumbersome to put everything back into and takes more space than a reusable bag.

Amazing! Quiet and went through my dogs coat better than ANY trimmer I have ever used. Did not clog once. Easy to empty and best of all no mess! Attachments are easy to attach as well.
