Not easy to use . Hard plastic and if your feet are too swollen you can’t fit your foot in the compression sock ! And the piece to help remove the sock is very hard and hurts the patient leg !

The device makes it easy to put on socks for narrow feet. Unfortunately my feet are a little wide for the product. Having said that I did use the device and with a little bit of trying I was successful getting my socks on. What I really likeed is the tool to take my socks off that was great!

After back surgery, I couldn't put on my socks. This item saved me from asking someone for help.

On normal feet should work fine. Both my feet swollen, left worse, swelling in ankle also. Also both lower calves bandaged. Had to reach down and start sock over beginning of bandage, not difficult-it’s getting the sock started that is so hard for me, then ok. Right foot worked perfectly. Left was some wrestling with the ropes to get over the heel, but succeeded. Then pulling the rest of my stretchy diabetic socks over calves no problem. If the rope end had been even a half inch wider it would have been less of a problem. This could be a similar problem for those with very wide feet/ankles. The reason for 4 stars. The ropes were a little long for me, but no problem, just threw a couple of knots up at the top. That said, I did get both socks on, and it was my first time. Probably get better with practice. Normal feet and regular socks I think it would rate a 5! I gifted these to my friend's husband who just struggled to get over the beer belly, he was thrilled, said it worked great. He is 77, I am female, almost 80, don’t drink beer so no excuse but 3 kids and age. 😉 I would buy these again. The sock (or shoe) remover is so much better than the two hook aid I have (still very usable) for me, as I have very sensitive feet and thin skin. I can use this one without pain. 👍

A great help in getting compression socks on and off. If you need compression socks, you will need these two tools too.

Works as it should, however putting ankle socks, (or any socks I would imagine) on it can become a chore. The plastic is extremely hard to squeeze the sides together to get the sock over it that it becomes tiresome. Would probably be very difficult for someone with arthritis in the hands. EDITED: after some struggling to get the sock onto the device, and the foot was inserted, it would not 'slide out'. This was due to the fact that the sock would get caught up on the little black rubber piece. I had to remove it to get it to work as it should.

May look hokey, but actually works quite well. Put the sock on the sled til the sock toe is as far as it will go. Put your foot in the sled til your toe hits the sock toe. Then pull the sled towards you to put on the sock. The key is to pull up on the sled to get the sock over your heel. Works great.

The knots on the side of the sock slide get in the way of my foot. I have a wide foot! Once I figured out how to overcome that, the slide worked great.

This really works, rubber gloves really can help getting your socks up, he'll is on bottom, toes accross on the end. Pull them up, even works on compression stockings this is where the rubber gloves really help.

I was always asking my son to help me put my socks on, but now that I have this kit, I have no problems putting my socks on or taking them off! Old or young, if you have problems with putting your socks on, you need this kit!

I have tried most of the sock aids and this is the best one. I don't know how much strength it would take for regular socks but it takes considerable strength for pressure socks. However, this can be minimized by the following procedure: 1. Pull the top of the sock over the frame by hand and then use rubber gloves to pull the sock all the way up onto the frame, keeping the heel of the sock centered, (towards the black circle). 2. Use the rubber gloves to roll and compress the sock back down the frame about half way. This minimizes the distance you have to push the foot through the frame, which minimizes the force needed. 3. Dry the foot (especially after a shower) and apply some powder or lubricant along the heel to minimize friction and force, necessary to push the foot through the frame. 4. Sit down and put your foot on the floor in front of you, but not fully extended. 5. Point the toes downward and insert the foot into the sock. (This is the moment where strength is needed). I find rolling the ropes once around my wrists, reduces the pressure on my fingers and gives me more leverage. 6. Pull hard on the ropes, keeping the line of force in a straight line with your pointed toes and raise and extend your leg outward as much as possible. As soon as the heel has passed through the frame, turn the foot back up and continue to pull up on the frame until it slides out along the calf. Then pull it free and adjust the sock by hand. I bought two of these sock aids so that I can put both socks onto the frames at the same time without having to stand up twice and don and doff the rubber gloves twice. In this way, with practice, it takes me only 2 minutes to put on both compression socks in the morning. --- re the sock remover device, I find it more difficult to use than removing the sock by hand because a lot of pressure is needed to insert and push the sock off after you engage the sock at the heel. I just push the socks off my heel with my fingers. I give it 5 stars because it is the best of what is available. Good luck.

The Easy on Easy off device works great! I would highly recommend. I would have given a 5 star but the device to remove the sock in this kit does not work as well as we hoped. We just end up getting the sock off without it.

Very helpful when I had hip replacement surgery. Made it easy to get socks on and off. My physical therapist recommended this product.

This may be one of the best purchases I've made on Amazon. I had back surgery and hated asking my wife to put my socks on. This was so simple to use OOTB, and it works every time.
