HOW IT WORKS

Three Simple Steps to Sock Independence

The flexible nylon cradle holds your sock open while you guide it onto the tool. The smooth interior fabric eliminates friction and resistance.

Extended handles give you the leverage to pull socks on without bending or straining. One fluid motion replaces the struggle of traditional sock application.

How It Works

1

Load Sock onto Cradle

Slide sock over the flexible nylon insert until the toe reaches the bottom.

2

Insert Foot into Opening

Place your foot into the sock-covered cradle while seated comfortably.

3

Pull Handles Upward

Gently pull the foam handles to glide the sock smoothly onto your foot.

Works well

Works well. Not for people with extremely swollen leg and ankle

Indispensable After Hip Surgery

I only wish that I had known about this sooner. It's the only way that I could even conceivably put on my socks for months after hip replacement surgery. Just make sure that your feet are completely dry before using it; damp feet tend to grab on the plastic, which can sometimes result in the sock not going all the way on. Also, though I haven't tried, I don't know if the plastic is strong enough to use with compression socks

Sometimes big feet are nearly a nuisance

Very good quality. Very durable It makes it easy but isn’t for me. I have a very large foot and I’m currently battling edema. My foot is swollen as well as the fact I wear a size 16 wide men’s shoe. No doubt in my mind this is a good product but it’s not for me

Couldn't help my mom

I got this for my mom who has severe hemo-arthritis (arthritis caused from joint bleeds). One knee does not bend, one elbow has narrowed ROM and the other joints are following similar trends. She still works and needs to dress appropriately, but has trouble putting on her tights/socks. The idea behind assisted devices is give freedom back to individuals who are suffering from health/medical issues that prevent them from performing basic tasks. My mom had difficulty putting her tights onto the sock aid itself. I get that the sock aid needed to accommodate a wide range of people so they designed a 'one size fits all' option. I'm not sure if anything could be done about this in the future, but the sock aid was simply too large for her pull her tights onto it using the limited strength she has in her arms. She puts the same tights on her own feet (granted with labored difficulty) using her arms, so it must be a design issue. Once she eventually got the tight on the sock aid she was able to easily get her foot through, but pulling on the straps was the second issue. She simply doesn't have ability to tug and pull on the ropes without causing herself more pain. Again, I am not sure what solution would resolve this issue. Overall, this product did not work for my mom. She may have a type of pain that can't be assisted. I would like to add that there is no return policy, however when you click on Vive it states they use the Amazon return policy which is 30 days. I ordered the product on 2/28, arrived on 3/1 and wanted to return on 3/6, so I contacted Amazon about this strange loop of 'ineligible for return'. The customer service rep was very helpful and understanding about this situation and provided me with my refund. I will be sending this sock aid to hospice. I'm sure it will help some people, but not my mom. :(

It actually worked for me.

Low compression and shoe size 9.5, works great; med compression and shoe size 9.5 works good, just takes a little more effort getting my sock on the “tool”. Overall I’m happy with the sock helper for my needs usage. I’m not convienced it will last a long time due to materials it is made from but feel comfortable that I’ll get at least a year of use. UPDATED: It took a week for learning curve to kick in. WOW, what a great assist for me. I can have both socks on completely in about a minute. Sock compression 15-20 mm.

It really does what they say.

I am not a person that likes to review what I buy but this morning I needed to get my compression socks on and I tried The VIVE Sock Assist and it was wonderful. It was amazing that I could just follow instructions and the sock was on my foot. Every time I put the sock on by myself it is extremely hard for me to do but all the hard work was gone. Get one if you don't have one. I Love It!

Vive Sock Aid

This is an absolute perfect aid for putting on socks if you need help after an injury or surgery. My husband had back surgery and we ordered this product. He tried it and laughed right out loud because it worked so easily. No pain and covered feet! You will not regret buying this product!

My mornings are so much easier now!

Wow! I am so impressed! A little bit of background: I am 65 years old, and I recently broke my left hip in a bike accident. Physical therapy is awesome, but the healing is slower than I wish. It’s been impossible to put on my left sock, and my wife of 42 years has significant arthritis in her hands. I wear size 14 shoes, so the force needed for her to stretch the socks was too much. This device has been a Godsend! It works perfectly for my athletic ankle socks as well as for my dress socks. Other brands with similar devices had frequent reviews of lack of durability. The plastic on this particular brand is strong and flexible. The ropes are long enough for me, even though I’m 6’ 5” tall! This is a great brand and a great device!
