It was a tough call for me as to whether I should keep or return these. On the plus side I love the look, especially since I plan to use exclusively during Halloween, and they do appear to be of good quality. On the negative side, the NiMh battery is not replaceable. I could find no info about the battery other than it's size so I contacted the seller who confirmed that the battery was not replaceable. Given that I only plan to use these for maybe 45 days each year around Halloween, that may not be a problem since a typical NiMh battery apparently can be charged a min of 500 times. So if no other problem arises, you'll get 10 years of use. And, to be fair, batteries that are replaceable often have problems with corrosion between the holder and battery or other wear problems with the holder. So I decided to keep them. But note that you can pull off the top to expose the battery and it's solder connections to the circuitry. But I would only pull off the top very very carefully so as to not break anything and only as a last resort if you think you must replace the battery. Pulling off the top may also compromise the quality of the weatherproof seal. See the attached photo for what it looks like inside. You can see that the battery connections are soldered and battery seems to be glued in place. So again, only take this step as a last resort and you are capable with a soldering iron.
These are better than I expected. Overall good quality, easy to assemble, and flicker just like a flame. I’m impressed with the appearance and they match well with my table lanterns. Got these because of prime day and glad I got them while on sale!

I purchased these to modernize the look of my home. Not knowing what to expect. But since I installed them nearly a month ago, I love how the front of my house looks at night time. They’re very durable, holding up well in the elements. They flicker all night long. I love the look of them. Money well spent.
