very nice mini water fountain

My cats recently got a very bad habit to drink from my desktop fish tank. No matter how hard I tried, they refused to drink from the fountain on the floor. This water fountain can be put on the desk without taking too much space. The wireless charging pump is actually very quiet. Easy to clean each part. So far kitties have switched to drink from this fountain, leaving my fish tank in peace.

No more wet paws caked with litter

Bought this in the hopes to avoid wet paws. My cat vastly prefers drinking from a fountain. She also plays in the water, and unfortunately then heads straight to the litter box. She then wanders around with litter caked to her feet. While water play can enrich her life, the kitty litter paws doesn’t. Have had this fountain for about a month and in that time there hasn’t been a wet paw or kitty litter clumps tracked through the house at all. No toys in the fountain. Bonus is that the fountain is very easy to set up, clean and is absolutely silent. While water play is great for enrichment, it can now happen at designated times, with paw drying immediately after. Completely happy with this fountain- wish I had bought it long ago UPDATE: 2 months later and it is fabulous!!! Changing the filter today and decided to update my review, because this fountain is fantastic. I didn’t realize how much I loathed the prior fountain until I had this one. It remains silent, so easy to clean- the designers got this one perfect. Some complain that the filters are expensive, but they last longer than my last fountain and so worth the price given how superior this fountain functions and is to maintain. 5stars+ UPDATE #2: 3 month in, and not quite perfect (sadly) changing the filter again and noticed what appear to be fatigue cracks at the corners of the top of the water reservoir. I cannot feel them, there isn't any leaking or effect on function, but I never noticed them before. the fountain doesn't get direct sun exposure, no harsh chemicals and I have hand washed, largely because it is easy and fast. I won't dock a star at this point as it looks to be a cosmetic issue, but if I were buying it new I would get the one with the stainless steel reservoir. It still functions like a dream and is perfectly silent :)

Reviews

I had a stainless steel water fountain that had to be cleaned every week! Probably every four days because it got so dirty, was so hard to clean. Best decision to have changed to this fountain! It’s easy to clean, light weight but durable, the water flow is perfect, does not spill. The pump is quiet, cannot hear anything. I clean it every two weeks, gonna try doing three weeks to see if it can go three weeks without cleaning. The filter is AMAZING!!!

What a let down

Such a letdown! I was initially very impressed with this as it was much better than my previous fountain. I really like the fact that I could carry the water container itself to the faucet, and it was so much less mess than my previous one and so easy without having to takeoff the power adapter just to get it to the water supply. I purchased this in April and have commented so many times how pleased I was. I have purchased extra filters and diligently replaced those as needed. Three days ago while changing the filter, it stopped pumping water and a green light began flashing. Everything I found on Google says this is a filter replacement notice, but there is no way to reset this. There is no physical button on the base and I downloaded the app and the version I have does not connect to the app so how am I supposed to reset this filter notice and also it completely stopped pumping water so now it’s useless. What a complete waste of money. Also, I contacted the Customer Service and have not heard anything back I’ll never purchase anything from this brand again. I went from ecstatic to be on letdown sadness, and depression. Can’t even begin to explain how I feel. I’ve been through a lot of things in my life, and the way this water fountain has left me is by far the worst thing I’ve ever been through I recently started Zoloft due to the depression symptoms that have said in from having to go back to pouring water in a bowl for my dog. He looks at the water and it looks at me, I look at him and look at the water and we both know that he might as well be drinking from a swamp. I’m not sure either of us will mentally recover from what this fountain has done. My entire household is suffering due to the anxiety. I have began feeling my poor dog. Henry is not the same, and I’m afraid neither of us ever will be.

Not actually wireless - does not work unless plugged in

NOT wireless. I am disappointed because calling it wireless is misleading, it will not work without being plugged via wire. You can remove the battery base to charge it, and the wires are not touching inside the thing, but that is not what I call wireless at all. I do have a completely wireless fountain that has a battery and this is not that unfortunately. It otherwise is extremely quiet and a great size, so I will just have to find somewhere else to use it or give it away as it can't be used where I actually needed it.

Stopped pumping? CLEAN IT

Like many others who wrote reviews about this product, my pump stopped working about a couple weeks after I replaced the first filter. The reason was that the filters I purchased did not fit correctly - the hole in the middle was too large and it allowed pet hair to get past and down into the reservoir. Once the hair is in there, it gets into the wheel in the pump. This is an extremely easy fix. All you have to do is take the pump apart and clean it and remove the hair. There is a QR code in the instruction manual showing how to clean the pump. I can also say that I have one small cat, one large cat, and one 75 lb. dog. All three of them use this fountain. The dog has even learned to use it on 'smart mode' (a cycle where it pumps for a couple of minutes, then stays off for a couple of minutes as a method to make the filter last longer and the water evaporate less quickly) - he will quickly empty the top saucer of water if it's in the Off cycle of smart mode, then stand and wait for it to come back on again before continuing to drink. It works just fine for him so don't be worried unless your dog is REALLY big. It does need to be cleaned at least once every couple of weeks if not more frequently just like any other water dish would since they get gross and slimy with bacteria if left alone. It really is easy to clean, marginally more effort than cleaning a regular water bowl. You could probably even put most of the pieces in the dishwasher if you really wanted to, although you probably want to keep the main reservoir piece out of there since it has an electrical cord attached. Overall I think this is an excellent product, especially for the price. Make sure to get the correct replacement filters to avoid having so much hair getting in. It's also good to have a small bottle brush (brush diameter 1/2 inch or so) to clean the tube and inner pump.

It works.

Love it and up till now works great. My cat got used to it pretty fast. The fact it doesn't get him wet makes it perfect. Materials are good and does not make any sounds. Easy to set up with instructions. Pet likes. Only negative is that it doesn't have anything holding it down in place. So pet could knock it down

The best cat fountain I've tried

I am a pretty forgetful person and I have a bad habit of avoiding inconvenient tasks, but this fountain makes it so much easier to clean and refill my cat's water that now I don't forget to do it. My cat also likes this one better than any other and started drinking from it right away. A few highlights below. Bubbler Design: My cat doesn't drink from the spout-style fountains and instead just plays with the stream of water and makes a mess. The bubbler on this one makes him interested in drinking without sticking his paws in it. Power Source: I prefer fountains that plug into the wall because my cat will only drink from the ones that are constantly running and I hate having to charge them. The induction pump on this one means it runs all the time when it's in place AND I don't have to drag the cord everywhere to clean or refill it. Very convenient. Cleaning: Other fountains I've tried have weird nooks and crannies or electrical components that can't get wet, which made them really annoying to wash. This one is so simple, it makes me wonder why every cat fountain isn't designed this way. Each piece is square and mostly flat and stacks neatly into the next. The plastic basin is also quite sturdy, so it can be filled up all the way and carried without bending and spilling like some others. Overall great experience so far and definitely worth the money.
