A Treadmill with Gym like Performance in a configuration that is easily stored.

Unpacking/Assembly The box that this treadmill is shipped in is protected with custom made polyurethane foam pieces to insure that it is not damaged in shipment. There is really no assembly required for this product. The assembly in the supplied instructions for me was more for out to setup for operation and storage. You are only minutes away from exercise when you get this out of the packaging. There is maintenance kit supplied with the unit that includes silicon oil and hex wrench. These items are only used for preventative maintenance and not needed until significant use has resulted. Lock the upright in place, connect to your household power outlet and you are ready to go. It is that simple and no tools are required. The uprights that hold the controls and tablet holders is constructed of steel and painted for protection. It provides a nice and secure feeling when it is being used and retracted for storage. That is one of big pluses for this unit is in the way the uprights are effective during operation and quickly rotated flat for storage. The uprights are locked into place with a quick turn on the toggle locks. The lock has 2 positions (lock/unlocked) that restricts the movement. There are toggle locks for each side that also give it a firm lock when it is being used or stored. If you had a storage spot that could handle a 55 inch x 26.5 inch x 3.75 inch, you can treadmill out of the way and out of sight Operation This treadmill operates at fairly low noise level and should not disturb others in your house. During use it is remains in its location and is firmly planted to the floor. The belt tracks well and have not seen any side movement during our use of several hours. There are several large pads that support the frame that protects the floor underneath. The unit has a digital readout that gives performance information of Speed, Calories, Time, and Distance. It is located at the bottom front of the base and can be easily seen from the standing position. You can control the speed, start, and stop from the handheld remote control or the control panel just below the reading stand. The remote control has a neat and well thought out location in the base of the unit that it is held in place when not in use. So many times you can’t find where a remote is and this solves that for you in this dedicated pocket. You can also leave it there during operation and just use the controls on the stand. There is also safety cord that if attach it to your clothing, the unit will stop if it is detached from it’s magnetic base. If you don’t want to use that feature, the cord can be wrapped around the upper support. Storage The unit would be ideal for a user that did not have space for exercise in their location. This unit could easily be placed under a couch or closet for storage. It has on its front edge a set of rollers that allow the unit to be positioned without lifting or dragging. The rollers will contact the floor when the unit is raised on the back edge and angled upward. This is nothing to engage or retract when it comes to the storage rollers. Construction The frame of the unit is steel, painted, and most importantly has welded construction. The gives the unit its firm feel during operation and storage. The unit is skinned nicely with plastic covers that are not fragile. The belt has a small grid pattern texture and is effective in providing a non-skid surface. Conclusion The unit checks all of the boxes for ease of use, rigid construction, and performance. I don’t think you can go wrong if you are looking for big gym performance in a small footprint. This would be perfect in an apartment situation, office space, or living room. We also own a large gym grade Pro-form unit that is large, heavy, and loud during operation. We can’t to sell the Pro-form unit at the next yard sale.

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT

LOVE everything about it!!! Did a ton of research and had different ones in my cart before buying this one. I've had it about 3 weeks & have used it daily. Received this within 3 days (not the 10 days listed)... no damage and packaging was excellent. One piece & 5mins setup. VERY QUIET even at the fastest speed!!! A priority. Need to oil it first and the small bottle of oil that it comes with it is pretty useless. I used WD40 silicone (with the long tip/nozzle so you can get it in the center/middle under the walking pad). PROS: VERY VERY QUIET - Controls on handlebar and remote & 17' walking pad (big plus) - Sturdy - Doesn't take up much room - iPad/book tray - Pause button CONS: NO Cool Down Button... BE CAREFUL, I highly recommend slowing it down before hitting stop OR pause. You only get about 3 steps before it is at a complete dead stop. - No water bottle holder, but as you can see my husband put one on for me (it's a bottle holder for his kayak, he got it on Amazon). ALSO, I carry 2lb weights when on it and there is no tray or anywhere to put them. DO NOT put anything heavy on iPad/book tray... lucky I didn't crack the display screen on the bottom when my weight fell on it. Getting husband to make a long tray under handlebar or some kind of contraption to hold the weights. Funny Sidenote: I have to turn it completely off at night because my TV remote makes it beep and starts it running :) Worth every penny and all the hours of research and reading reviews made this a great buy!

Quiet and compact

I've been using this for about a week now, and overall I'm impressed with the machine. First, the good: Setup was super easy. Literally one plug to attach to the machine and then my outlet, then switch the machine on from underneath. It comes with a remote so when the arm is folded down I can still maneuver the power & speed. Also, it's quiet! I'm on calls almost all day and no one could hear the machine (though I did have to move it around a little bit to make sure I got off the squeaky part of my floor). The machine comes with a little remote so I was able to fit the treadmill with the arm folded down under my standing desk, and it fit perfectly between me, the desk, and the back wall without having to move any of my existing furniture around. The pad itself is not hard on my feet, so I found that I was able to walk for over an hour without foot or knee pain, unlike concrete. The not so good: It's heavy. Heavier than 75 pounds (objectively, I didn't actually weigh it). Getting it out of the box was a little difficult, but once I had it on the wheels it was fine. But then, the wheels - they don't swivel. So maneuvering the machine in more than a front/back motion was complicated. Moving it to and from the resting spot at my desk (so that I can use my chair occasionally), is a little complicated. It's not impossible, just complicated. Overall I'm really happy with my purchase. It ultimately serves my need of being more active during the day while still being able to keep up with work, and I'm really happy with the purchase!

Update Less than 1 Year Later Poorly Built-Non-Existent Customer Support

Update - November 2023 Background - I used my treadmill 3 to 4 times a week at a speed of 3 to 4.5 miles per (max7.6 mph ) for approximately 4 to 6 hours a week. I weigh 175 lbs which is less than the maximum weight capacity of 265 lbs. In October 2023 I noticed I burning rubber smell and applied extra belt lubricant. This did not help. The treadmill began randomly slowing and increasing in speed. By November the motor roared loudly each time it was cut on but would return to normal quieter sound after running 2 to 3 minutes. Burning rubber scent continued. The week prior to Thanksgiving the display lit up but belt would no longer move. I reached out to the customer service email address and never received a response to any of my inquiries, not even the thank you for your email automated response. Unresponsive Customers Service 'The Run' customer service never responded to my emails, no phone number provided and I could not located a phone number using Internet searches so they sell you a lemon and leave you hanging when you need them. Save your money. The product must be poorly built and customer support is non-existent Below original Review --------- Pros Compact- for under my home office desk Quiet- I can walk on it while in meetings (using noise canceling headphones & noise reduction meeting settings) Cons Stops sometimes randomly-I thought perhaps it was to cool motor but it restarts immediately Heavy-I thought it was the type that could be propped against the wall but is is not. I have to lift it (wheels on one end) to roll it to the corner when I want to sit down to work Original review Overall I am very happy with my purchase. It is sturdy, the belt works properly, fits the dimensions I needed for a 10ftX10Ft space without getting in my way when not in use. I have had my treadmill for 3 months, use it at least 3 times a week for 2 or more hours and it works well, minus the random shut off at about 1 to 2 hours-which is likely a safety or maintenance feature.

Convenient, durable, and holds up to real use

Been using this in my bedroom and honestly it's been super convenient having it right there without needing a whole home gym setup. Durability has genuinely surprised me. My husband uses it too and he's 180 lbs running on it, not just walking, and it's held up with zero issues. A lot of these compact treadmills seem built for light walking only, so that was a relief to see it handle actual running weight. Controls are responsive across the board, both the remote and the buttons on the handle bar work smoothly with no lag or missed inputs, which makes a difference when you're mid-workout and just want it to respond right away. The belt itself is a good size too, 16' wide and 40' long, so there's actually room to run comfortably instead of feeling boxed in like some smaller pads. And since it's foldable, it's easy to tuck away when it's not in use, which matters a lot when it's living in a bedroom and not a dedicated gym space. Overall this has been a solid, reliable pick for home use. Easy to live with day to day and tough enough for more than just casual walking.

Quiet; LOVE IT!!! 265 Lb weight limit!!

I LOVE THIS TREADMILL!!! I am super happy with this treadmill! So far, I’ve used it a few times while attending multi-hour zoom trainings and working from home. I used it for most of the day. It worked perfectly. A little bit of squeaking at first, but that went away after several minutes. I did have to stop walking a few times so I could focus on writing by hand or doing something else a bit complex with my hands, but that was only for a few minutes, then I turned it back on. ***I asked, and multiple people said they couldn’t hear it in the zoom. *** People were impressed with me for using this. That was kind of cool. I can feel the effects of the exercise in my legs. My muscles feel it, and that’s great! My feet feel it too, but oh well! I didn’t walk very fast, and a few times, my Apple Watch asked me if I wanted to mark my workout as ended or paused, even though I was still walking. I don’t think my watch or phone recorded the number of steps I took, the distance I walked, or other data correctly. Is that because I had my phone and my arms resting on my desk while I was walking? It doesn’t really matter. What matters is that instead of sitting all day, I walked all day! I have been sedentary for most of the last 35 years. I’m hoping this will help to end that! I used the remote control and I had the handle down so it would go under my convertible desk. For my treadmill, you have to press the remote control twice to make it turn on. That’s fine. It would be really nice if it had an app to go work out to keep track of speeds and distances walked since the treadmill itself has no memory. I will be looking for that in any treadmill I buy in the first since the phone and watch don’t detect my workout on it. The rate of acceleration and deceleration is perfect on this machine: no sudden stopping. That is something I had been worried about, as my balance isn’t the best. It is too heavy for me to be wheeling it around across the living room carpet every day, so I tend to leave it in place. I can move it, but it is pretty heavy for me. So, I really don’t like to. I’m always afraid I’m going to strain a muscle when I move it. I’m sure it would be much easier if it were on tile instead of carpet. I’ve learned that if I use it for hours at a time, I need to stretch my legs before and after using the treadmill in order to avoid hip pain. I’m going to buy one for work as soon as they assemble my standing/convertible desk! I don’t have much room in my office at work, so if I ever want to use my chair, I’d have to move the treadmill. Not sure where I’m going to store the treadmill when I want to use a chair at my desk in my little office at work. 😥 For me, this treadmill is a KEEPER due to the PRICE and FUNCTIONALITY after I got it into place. I am not going to try to put it under the couch. I don’t think that’s possible unless you can lift 72 pounds and push that sideways since the wheels don’t swivel. I’m an over-50-yo woman, so I’m not super strong. As other reviewers have stated, when the handle is folded down, it doesn’t lock into place. That is a very bad design! The handle forms a U all the way around the sides and back of the treadmill, so the handle is in the way when you try to pick the treadmill up to move it. This makes you reach further underneath the treadmill, thus straining your muscles. There are two little tabs on the sides near the back of the machine. I don’t know what they are for, but I put my hands under those to move the treadmill. They seem to go under the handle to the bottom of the machine, although they rotate, so you need to be mindful of them. Yes, the wheels do roll well, even on carpet, but only straight forward and backward, which I had not realized might be a problem. This thing is very heavy for me, and the wheels don’t turn. That means I have to work it back and forth little by little to turn it around, and it’s way too heavy for all that! I will be leaving mine out in plain sight because it’s too unwieldy to move easily. ☹️ The “locks” don’t work as they should. They should keep the handle in place when it’s down, but they don’t. In fact, just from moving mine around a little bit, one of the locks came down. I don’t think that caused a bigger problem than they already created by this terrible design, but it’s just weird. I do not recommend this treadmill based on the weird locks and the handle that’s in the way, but on the other hand, it is one of the less expensive ones with good reviews and a 265 pound weight limit, which I need since I’m a big person. I’m hoping that I’ll be able to figure out a way to move it around my small apartment’s living room eventually. It’s probably a lot easier to move on smooth flooring instead of carpet. I will be getting a mat to put between the treadmill and my carpet since another reviewer pointed out that the fans vent to the bottom, and I confirmed that for myself by looking. Sorry, no picture of the fans. Regarding it not turning on, this was...

Bar is shorter than pic shows

This arrived in great shape and the set up is easy. The picture is misleading showing the bar taller than it actually is. I’m 5’2” and unless I stoop forward, I can’t use it for balance, it’s too short. Maybe it wasn’t meant for balance? If you feel like you need something for balance/stability like I do, maybe look for one that provides something different. This pad makes some noise but mostly just sounds like the belt moving, I was able to watch tv while walking on it no problem.

Good piece of equipment, question longevity

Almost lasted two years. Used this to stay active while at home. Today while doing my morning walking, noticed a strange smell. Saw smoke and immediately unplugged it. Like to think I got my money's worth, but hoped for greater longevity.

Has a few handling quirks but does what it says decently well

So for the cost, I'm happy with this purchase so far. I'm only about a month and a half in since I bought it and I've power walked on it several times a week for 20+ minutes at about 3mph. Haven't run on it yet, but I'll get to that. My major takeaways so far: - Maneuverability sucks. The wheels only go straight, so if you're looking to move it laterally or... anywhere not in a straight line, you're gonna have a bad time. If the wheels were spherical, or were castor wheels instead, that would instantly make life easier. It's whatever, for the cost, I'll accept the clunkiness. I mean, at least it HAS wheels. - It says that it's pre-lubricated, but add more under the belt! The deck on mine was kinda dry. Run the treadmill and adjust the band tightness as needed as well; mine was slipping to the left after first use. Not hard to do. - if you want to put it under furniture for storage, like under a bed, you're going to need 6 inches or more of vertical clearance! Better buy those bed risers you've been contemplating for underbed storage while you're here. - the tracking on the front panel isn't all that accurate except for time. I kinda ignore it in favor of my smartwatch. - Under desk usage is great! It limits your speed of course but walking while working is pretty nice. Just make sure to raise and lock the tablet/phone rest up and away from the belt, since it folds towards it. You don't want to knock your heels against it by accident. So really, if you're looking for a cheap portable treadmill that does the treadmilling and has a nice touch LED control panel and a place to put a tablet or phone on while you do said treadmilling, this does nicely.

A lot of research paid off!

I wanted to wait a month before writing my review of this product to give it some time to settle into my routine -- a mix of walking and running. I did A LOT of research before buying a walking pad/treadmill. I went through some disappointment last year when I tried to buy the Peloton Tread, but it ultimately didn't fit in the space as I hoped, so I had to send it back :( So I spent a year researching which small treadmill would work for my needs. I am a runner, but I am VERY out of shape, so I wanted something that could handle short spurts of running - 10-30 mins -- to start and then hopefully handle longer runs 45-60 mins as I get my running legs back. I have not run longer than 30 minutes yet, but so far so good! This is also a great walking pad for when it's a crappy day outside and I barely get out to walk or my dog refuses to go far in the rain/snow. So It's wonderful when I want to get more steps in on those days. Things to note: - The jump button = 0.2mph at a time (example: You start at 3.0 MPH. The next level up is 3.2 MPH. 3.1 is not an option). You cannot go up a single MPH, which was a bummer at first, but I'm used to it now! - My Fitbit steps/distance and the distance that the tread logs are definitely off. The tread tends to say I go further than my Fitbit. They are close enough, so it's not a huge issue. - This only goes up 7.6 MPH. I have not gone that fast yet and I probably won't for a while, but if you're looking to sprint, this isn't the tread for you. - There is no incline option, so you will be running on a 'flat road'. I'm okay with this, but some others might miss that. - If you want something to hold onto when you're walking or running the bar is not going to be something you should reach out for. It's nice to put your phone on during runs, but don't use it for balance. I set my tread up by a table so if I need something to grab onto the table is right there! - I haven't had to oil the tread yet, but it looks pretty easy. I will update this review once I do that. - It's super easy to move around and it fits perfectly under my bed, but make sure you have a 6-inch clearance. - There is no water bottle holder, so make sure you set up your tread next to something where you can grab a water bottle easily. - It shockingly has pretty good shock absorption -- it's not like a normal tread, but for this kind of model, I was surprised! I think that's all for now, but I will come back in another month or 2 and make any updates. Note: I also picked out this tread because it had the most 5-star ratings/highest rating out of all of them. Even those there are less than 400 reviews, the majority of those reviews were positive vs. other treads/walking pads. More honest feedback update (Feb 2023): - I finally oiled my machine and it was SUPER easy. - After almost 2.5 months, the machine has started squeaking a bit, but it doesn't seem to affect the use of the machine. It goes away after a couple of minutes of use. - One design flaw is how the bar does not lock into place once placed flat down. This became an issue when I transported it with me for a week-long getaway. I had to tape the bars into place. - I was able to fit the tread into my SUV for easy transport. Sure it's a bit heavy to get up and down stairs, but knowing I can transport it to other locations easily is great! Gives me more reasons to do more upper-body strength classes! - I do sometimes worry about the machine overheating. The tread surface does get toasty after using it for a bit. That's always in the back of my mind, but nothing has come of it yet. UPDATE: October 2023 It's almost been a year of owning this treadmill. I used it a ton at the beginning of the year until the end of March. I then took an extended break until about June/July. The biggest issue I have found is that if I want to do longer runs the treadmill tends to stick - and I am not even going that fast (6mph) or running that long (at the most 30 mins). I have oiled the belt and I still find the belt stutters with me on it, which is a bit scary. For now, I am just using it for short interval running, but it's a bummer this is happening. I'm hoping maybe oiling it some more might help in the long run. Pun intended! Still, this a decent tread for walking and interval runs. But I had a feeling this might not be the tread for me in the long run if I wanted to increase my running.
