Sturdier than I thought! We wanted a convenient way to store our cast iron! This is perfect! Comes assembled. Keeps the cast iron organized and off of each other!

I had purchased something similar here on Amazon and found that my cast irons are way too heavy and they also had a habit of falling off the rack trays. Anyone other than needs to go in that cabinet had always been in for a loud surprise if they didn't know of how trccky it was. this is unfortunate becuase I really thought it was going to work and a great idea for whoever invented it. Then I noticed another product very similar but it c;laimed that it was heavy duty and illustrated a photo with several cast iron pans. So I tried it and I am pleased to say that there is significant improvement. a few weeks later and I haven't had a cast iron slip off the surface although you do still have to be careful since there is a lot of weight on this storage rack. If I needed I would purchase this product again. I give this product a B since there is still quite a bit of instability. The pans can and will slide off if you dont' check them and correct them whenever used. More storage needed since I have more than 4 cast irons and also height space in my cabinet where there is no space anywhere else to add another rack.

I have limited cabinet space and my iron skillets were always stored stacked together, largest to smallest inside each other. The whole stack had become too heavy for me to lift to find the skillet I wanted. I needed a better way that wouldn't take up much space. I was so pleased to find this rack which is strong and sturdy enough to hold several heavy iron skillets without bending. I have two large iron skillets and four (two on each of 2 tiers) small ones stored in the rack, with a covered enameled braiser sitting on top. No signs of bending so far! Measure your space. I ordered the regular 12' one in black. It fits in my base cabinet in front of the top half-shelf. This rack can be used horizontally with the skillets stored on their sides (four spaces), but I'm using it sitting upright with the skillets sitting flat on the tiers (five spaces counting the top). The bottom space is taller than the others and the base and bottom tier are wider than the top three, which are meant for smaller skillets. The cast iron skillets don't slide off but I did put a thin silicone hot pad under the enameled braiser on top. The braiser is too tall to fit inside the rack so it's on the top small tier. I wish all the tiers were the larger width but it's working fine. The screws for permanently attaching the rack were missing but I didn't want to fasten it to the cabinet. It just sits in the cabinet and seems very sturdy and stable. This is a great solution for storing heavy iron skillets. Highly recommend.

This Cuisinel Pan Organizer is absolutely awesome!! All 5 of my cast iron pans fit perfectly, and finally have a space where they can be stored together, look nice & neat, plus be easily accessed. I was able to set my small 'Corn Stick' pan face down up on the top. It came with anchor screws as an option, but I didn't use them. I put a small piece of rubber matting under the front & back edges to keep it from sliding, and it's perfect and most importantly, very durable & stable.

Organizer holds my pots and pans with no issues! Pans doesn't slide off at all. The organizer is made of strong material, and fits on my counter perfectly. The organizer does not have to be assembled, which is great!

Very nice, heavy storage rack. It worked very well for my pots, pans and skillets.

Heavy duty. We have 5 cast iron skillets on this and it doesn't bow or lean at all. Has pads on the bottom so it does not move when removing a skillet. Would definitely purchase again.

Good, stout, well built for your frying pans. If you wish to secure it with the provided screws, the way it is put together makes it somewhat difficult to do.

I have 4 cast iron pans in this. The two on the bottom are 12', then a 8' and a #6. It works fine and is reasonably stable. I don't worry about it falling or moving. The shelves could have been just a bit longer, but it works as intended.

This is solid so glad I purchased. Used for large heavy cast iron pans. More likely be purchasing a second one. We use ours standing up but it can also be placed on its side.

This rack holds cast iron frying pans with no issue. I have it stacked with cast iron much as it appears in the Amazon photos and it shows no signs of bending or flexing. I have it on a counter but one could attach it to a wall if desired. There are no adjustments but you probably won't need them if what you want to do is stow several frying pans.

The pan organizer was too tall for our shelves (which I knew from the description). I cut off the top shelf, which I didn't need, and it fits and works perfectly.

Very sturdy and holds all my cast skillets easily. The only thing to be cautious of, the skillets can easily slide off if bumped. The rack itself doesn't slide, so I strongly suggest the cast iron be removed if under the rack needs to be wiped down.

Sturdy rack and great for the price

I've waited a good while to review this rack. I like to see how things hold up. I put all of my grandmothers old cast iron skillets on this thing for years. These skillets are heavy. They aren't like cast iron skillets at Target or Walmart. These things weigh a ton and they are thick. You swing one of these skillets at someones head your gonna knock em' out. This rack has held up like a champ. It holds 5 skillets and it only takes up as much counter space as your largest skillet. For years we had to scatter our skillets between different cabinets and drawers because they were just too heavy to nest them all together. And man, what a pain it is trying to remember what cabinet the small skillet is in or what drawer the medium skillet is in. And they never seem to end up back in the same place. We absolutely love this rack! Update: December 2025. Answered a customer question about this rack and noticed a reviewer that said he returned it because it was flimsy and unsteady. What?? No offense but what in the world are you puttin on this thing? I have 4 of my great grandmother's 120 year old cast iron skillets on this thing and a full size cast iron enameled Dutch oven on the very top rack and it's solid as a rock. Are you trying to use it as a jack stand for your pickup maybe?

Very sturdy and plenty of room to store multiple pans on each level. This has made all the difference in reaching pans easily.

This is exactly as described, heavy duty and holds the cast iron pans very secure. It is definitely what I needed and strong enough to hold the cast iron pans without any wiggle or wobble. I didn't think it would be sturdy enough for my pans as it didn't look like it would be. I was very pleasantly surprised. It also fits very nicely under my cabinets on the counter.
