THE SCIENCE

Why Deep Tissue Rolling Transforms Your Body

Traditional stretching only addresses muscle length. Deep tissue rolling adds controlled pressure that releases fascial restrictions, improving tissue quality and restoring natural movement patterns.

The curved design follows your spine's natural contours, creating space between vertebrae while supporting proper alignment. This combination of decompression and support allows for deeper, more effective stretching than flat rollers.

How It Works

1

Position and Center

Place the roller under your target area and align your spine with the wheel's center axis.

2

Control the Pressure

Use your legs to adjust how much body weight transfers through the roller for optimal intensity.

3

Roll and Release

Move slowly through the tissue, pausing on tight areas for 20-30 seconds of sustained pressure.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes this different from a standard foam roller?

The wheel design allows for curved, spine-following movements and deeper stretches that flat rollers cannot achieve. The circular shape also enables 360-degree rotational movement for thoracic extension and core work.

Which color options are available?

The roller is available in both Black and Blue colorways, each featuring the same premium construction and non-slip surface texture.

How firm is the foam construction?

The high-density foam is engineered to maintain its shape under body weight while providing enough give for comfortable pressure. It delivers effective deep tissue work without excessive hardness.

Can beginners use this effectively?

Absolutely. You control the intensity by adjusting how much body weight you apply, making it suitable for all experience levels from beginner to advanced practitioners.

What are the dimensions and weight capacity?

The roller features a standard yoga wheel diameter designed for most body types and supports users across a wide weight range thanks to its reinforced construction.

Awesome back roller!

The Fit Beast Back Roller is AWESOME! But be careful because it can hurt you if not used properly! My husband is fused C3-7 with lumbar stenosis and a huge bone spur at L5-6. He is still healthy and in pretty good shape though. In order to stay healthy, flexible and ward off stiffness, he uses his inversion table and foam roller along with lots of stretching. I got the Fit Beast Roller for him to try. WOW! He starts with the big, then medium, then small rollers from his pelvic region up to his upper thoracic spine. After he's done that, he gently lays his cervical spine (neck) on the small roller only and barely moves, simply and lightly shifting his fused neck vertebrae in a safe manner. When he's done, he feels like a million bucks! Do not use the Fit Beast like you would a foam roller. The hardness and the way it's designed is serious s*** and can hurt you if not done properly. The upside is that IMHO, the Fit Beast provides the most cracking, popping and relief of spinal stiffness and aches and pains than anything else he has used. So he has definitely incorporated Fit Beast into his back health curriculum!

Sturdy set of rollers in three sizes!

This is a nice pack of foam rollers in three different sizes and it comes stacked one inside the other you can tell that these are durable because each one is heavy and well constructed with a nice layer of foam over a center core. The three sizes are 6, 9, and 12 inches in diameter. These are quite firm as expected and it would be good for those who want a lot of pressure on the back. I like that it has a divot in the middle for the spine. I like the wider width so it's not so tippy as you try to roll onto them. This could provide pain relief and the various sizes are good for adding value for the price to use for different sized people. They are easy to use if you have some dexterity to lie on them and the foam makes them more comfortable.

FitBeast Back Roller, 3-Piece Foam Roller Yoga Wheel for Stretching

This is a set combining the three sizes of yoga wheels that FitBeast has been offering individually in a different color for a couple years (ASIN B0CJXT8Q8S = 12 inches, B0CJXWTDQ2 = 9 inches, B0CJXV13K7 = 6 inches). I already owned a set of classic Chirp wheels, but I decided to get this FitBeast set since I saw people say they are wider than Chirp wheels (7 inches vs 5 inches) and use denser foam. The increased width is particularly beneficial for the largest diameter wheel, for better stability. I saw that people who had ordered the sold-separately FitBeast wheels received them with nice-looking carrying cases/bags that hadn't been mentioned in those product descriptions, so I'd hoped that this set would come with a similar bag despite a similar lack of mentions. But it turned out that a bag was not included with this set, so I'll have to just store them in the manufacturer's box; not great for portability. It did come with a detailed instructions booklet. The product description says these wheels are made of EVA foam (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) on an ABS plastic core. Chirp uses similar materials, but FitBeast's are thicker, so FitBeast advertises a higher weight capacity (800 lbs vs 500 lbs). It seems unlikely that anyone who is anywhere near that heavy would be able to maneuver themselves on these wheels regardless, but it should be an indicator for longer-term durability.

The best back rollers

I've used a lot of back rollers including those from Chirp, some with thick bumpy foam as well as normal yoga wheels. These are so much better than all the others for a number of reasons. One, they are a little bit wider... still narrow enough to fit between the shoulder blades, but the are much more stable and less likely to slip and fall sideways which could cause injury. Next, like the Chirp they have a relief groove for your spine. Also there foam is no much thicker and softer it's much easier of tender muscles. The inner core is also super strong, I don't think anyone who could use them would be in excess of their 800lbs capacity. Finally they are a little smaller diameter than other sets, but I find that gives a better stretches, muscle releases and back pops. If there are any cons, maybe these are too nice to the user? If you're young, with great balance and want to feel the pain from muscle knots being worked out, then sure you could save some money with a standard thin padded yoga wheel. But for a 3 wheel set, these are still priced great... plus they feel safer, more comfortable, and come with a great variety of stretches from the 3 different sizes.

Good, but not for beginners

This FitBeast 3-pack of foam rollers offers a dynamic range of motion and muscle tension relief, but I wouldn't recommend it as your first foam roller. The three pack comes nested inside of a box with a little bit of supporting documentation. All three rollers together have some heft to them, so if you keep them in the box it's heavier to move than you might think. Each roller features a hard inner core with a slightly textured foam applied over it. There is a central channel in each roller so the foam doesn't directly push into your spinal column. The diameters are 6, 9, and 12 inches. I've used many foam rollers before and I do think these are good for working out muscle tension in areas of your back or shoulders, however, I think these are harder and firmer than many of the 4-6' diameter rollers that have more foam and solid cores. If you have never used foam rollers on your back before, you might want to test out one of the softer, smaller ones first before graduating to this triple pack of more advanced rollers. Personally, I mostly use the medium size roller from this bunch as I think it does the best job on my lower back and shoulders. The 12' roller is really big and can be awkward to use, but if you have a difficult time balancing on the medium size one, then the 12' might be the best for you. I don't really like the 6' roller on my back because I think the size with the firmness level is more pain than tension relief, however, it is pretty good for my calves and hammies. Overall, this is definitely a good set of high-end foam rollers and I can recommend them for anyone who has tried a softer one first, but it looking for more variation in their stretching and cool down routines.

Good quality back rollers, but maybe more than I need

I'm not good enough shape to use these myself, I think -- I struggled with getting my back lined up on them, and struggled with not falling off of them, and didn't really get much out of the experience so far. But I think that's mostly user-error on my part and not the fault of the product haha. On the other hand, my wife and my daughter, who have more experience with back rollers, yoga, and pilates, were able to use these rollers without a problem and assure me they're high-quality back rollers, relative to other rollers and back-stretching yoga items they've used before. So at first I thought this set was a definite winner -- but as with most of the workout equipment and yoga-related items we've collected over the years -- after a few days, these rollers likewise got relegated to a corner of the room. It's not that they're bad -- it's just they're not frequently reached for once the novelty wore off. Additionally, when these rollers are getting used -- it's of course only one roller at a time being used. Having three seems like overkill, even though being able to choose between sizes is nice -- once you find the size you like most, you'll probably use that the majority of the time. But for someone that likes to frequently use rollers for stretching their back, these should be a good choice, though, I think, if perhaps a bit pricey. They seem strong and well-made.

Great for stretching my back

This FitBeast Back Roller set really helps to stretch my back out and decrease pain. The rollers are easy to use and I like having the different size options depending on my pain and stiffness. I use them more for stretching than rolling, but they're still very effective at getting my back to crack and loosen up. The rollers are very solidly built and durable, and the outer foam layer makes them comfortable. I especially like the shape of the foam layer as it cradles the spine more than my foam roller. The largest roller is 12' in diameter and the 9' and 6' rollers nest inside, so they don't take up very much space. The set is decently portable for road trips, but I wouldn't take them on a plane. I do wish the set had come with a storage bag, but it's easy enough to make one. Overall these FitBeast Back Rollers have been very beneficial for me and I'm happy with my purchase.

No pops or cracks - disappointed

I'm getting zero pops or cracks from this product, which is pretty disappointing--because it's the #1 reason I bought it. Not only have I read and followed the instructions, I've searched online and watched how-to videos from a name-brand competitor (you know the one). Alas, I'm doing everything correctly. I bought this in the hopes that I could finally pop my upper back--specifically, I have a lot of muscle tension and what feels like a 'catch' between my shoulder blades. But, no luck. Maybe I just need to use the product for awhile. I'll come back and update this review if something changes. I give 3 stars because 1) they're sturdy and well-made and 2) it does provide a good stretch and a bit of massage-type pressure. But I bought it hoping specifically for the pops and cracks that get so prominently advertised with these wheel-type products.

Very solidly made and comfortable back rollers

I've been using these back rollers for about the past month to help stretch and relieve lower back pain. Initial reaction when receiving them was how solid and strong they seem. They have a surprising amount or weight that makes them feel very substantial. And because of how solid they are there is very little flex when using. But even though they're very strong and don't flex, the padding is enough that they feel comfortable. They have a soft rubbery feel rather than a hard plastic that digs into your back. I primarily use the smaller rollers to stretch and target tight areas in my lower back. Frankly the large roller is a bitt too big as I'm not really flexible enough yet to use it without struggling. Hopefully I'll get more flexible with continued use. So overall I've very satisfied with these back rollers. They're far more comfortable than I expected after trying other cheaper products. And they're well made and feel like they'll hold up over time. Definitely recommend.

rollers are wider and may require a different technique to use.

So far they seem better than the Chirp brand , they all broke after about a 1 1/2 years. These seem to be more durable but only time will tell. They are wider than the chirp brand which for me they are almost to wide to fit between my shoulder blades when my arms are down. But they are more stable being wider.
